reminds me i was thinking about those pitlock seat post clamps to stop people nicking your saddle, but what's to stop them simply unscrewing the saddle from the seat post?
ideas anyone?

you standing next to your bike with a big fucknig axe should stop them:)
or take it off yourself and bring it with you

old chain (inside innertube) through saddle rails and seat stays.
unless they carry chain tools with them, it's a reasonable way. I'm gonna have to do it soon

My saddle is a fucking PAIN to take off from my seatpost. The 2nd allen key bolt on the clamp is recessed quite deep, so its hard to get to. I just don't let my bike out of my sight for more than 2 mins. I'm sure this will change as time goes on...

as for seat thieves, ever thought about super-gluing rabid wild rats to the seat post?
The saddle that came on my langster is pretty good (them ones wif the hole). Never had any complaints.
