  • appreciate that, thanks.

  • picture of the frame above^^ but with wrong components

  • Anybody lost a Dolan Track Champ in Manchester area (Alpina fork, Navigator Pista wheelset, Sugino RD2 cranks, specialized stem)

Text'd this individual seemed to know 'sweet fa' about track stuff...despite ad suggesting otherwise. Just a hunch that its stolen.

  • Saw a Quintana Roo with Carbon wheels upturned and unlocked outside a barber shop in Brixton today, next to another Carbon bike. Don't think it was necessarily stolen but it certainly wasn't locked so if it was yours, lock it...

Snap / I also saw this a few months back. The barber shop near the crossroad of cold harbour and where the market is? Very sketchy, and at the very least should be in the 'how not to lock your bike' thread

  • Friend’s Shorter lopro got nicked last night from Liverpool street private terrace. Quite distinctive, appreciate any info

  • if you have any info please call 07827523461
    or email marina@morrino.com

  • Anybody had a 14 bike co stolen recently? Purple frame with green and purple parts, lots of expensive bits, BLB, Phil, etc...

    Please see: https://www.lfgss.com/thread94446.html

  • So the creator of the missing bike post I think is a match isn't responding to the sites administrators. Cycle Task Force were informed of the frame number and description a week ago and haven't responded to a few follow up emails. I really hope this gets sorted in a week or I will start wondering what I should do...

    Think I've got a BINGO!
That website could be sooo much more user friendly; can only filter 'UK'!

In the past month my rear wheel was stolen and my neighbours two bikes were stolen while I was literally 10 feet above the thieves during the act (see previous page), which I feel guilty for not preventing. I am a man on a mission.

Terrorist, appreciate completely. I still feel I said all the right things, that anyone legitimate person would have walked away with the bike and an apology.
I don't think it's fair to say I mugged him.

Was'nt that in Classifieds not less than a week ago? If so, that sucks if it's been lifted so soon. Gutted for your mate there.

  • Yes I believe my friend she bought Shorter few weeks ago from some one.
it's been stolen from second floor terrace with other bunch of bicycles. Very unfortunate

  • :(

Yeah, it used to belong to Rik van Looy on here. It's a really nice bike.

  • What a bugger - hope it shows up - keep a lookout of Shorters on gumtree/ebay etc - it's pretty unique and I have plenty of photos & could probably dig out the rennovation serial# to prove.

  • A seriously nice looking old-school Peugeot (light green frame) at the London Fields end of Broadway Market, is this the new lost and found place for nicked velos?!

  • don't know about the 'found' bit. or the 'lost'.

more like 'stolen and bemoaned' or 'nicked and distraught' place.

Stolen late last night, Kingsland road near Dalston/Kingsland Overground station.
A really old Triumph frame SS conversion. Just a beater, but pretty fun to ride and it has sentimental value. Flatmate was using it for the summer/autumn and wasn't using a very robust lock. It has a new back wheel (not shown in this photo).

I'm sending the flatmate around to Brick Lane today. What's the protocol if you see your bike there? Can you bring some muscle and just take it back if you have photo evidence, etc?

  • papercrate, look here:

Some people manage to recover their bike by means of persuasion or threats, but it is not advisable.

  • Thanks Oliver, sent an email to the Cycle Task Force and will look on Bikeshd, etc. Any reason why my embedded photos just turned into text links above?

  • Maybe I'm wrong but these 2 listings by the same guy look a little suspect.

    Looks pretty bait to me

Anyway, pity I didn't check this site earlier. My Boardman Pro Carbon with veloce groupset, Kouta carbon seat post, Deda stem, S-works bars, Truvative rouler chainset, FSA headset, Fulcrum racing 7 wheels, Vittoria rubino tyres(white), Tioga spyder saddle (white) was nicked on the 25/07/12 from Muswell Hill broadway. It's a 2006 model, grey main triangle with naked carbon stays and forks. It was owned by Jessica Allen when training for the 2006 commonwealth games, it has her name on the top tube. It's pretty destinctive due to the white and black splash tape and combination of parts.
I realize a few months have passed but if anyone's bought it then let me know.
    Cheers

Sorry to hear that Andrew, I really hope you find it again somehow. That was a classy bike.

keep your hand on it or at least keep it in view and phone the police?

but knowing them they would say be there in 24 hours then cancel and say another 24 hours, then get there and be completely useless....

Just Googled 'Martin's' number. Guy flogging hooky bikes all over Gumtree like.....like he has a steady stream of bent gear.

27 bikes on gumtree since 1st of sept, that's nearly one a day!

I'd call the rozzers except they pissed me off so much with their indifference when my bike was nicked... I called them within 1 minute yes! 1 minute of my bike being nicked and they told me to come to the station to collect a form, I asked why they bother carrying radios.
