  • Shit news. It should also have his Cunt sticker on it (which is more valuable than the spok). Whereabouts was he parked up?

  • Jesus was that bike^^^ and laner's spok locked up??

  • It was at the sainsburys in whitechapel, foolishly not locked

  • Ahh shit :/ will keep an eye out man...

  • gumtree/ebay eyes open mate, sorry to hear it

  • Even if they do take the time to take the stickers off they will probably keep the tyre on it. It's a vittoria (I think) with a red stripe. Everyone on the look out for the spok!

  • Will keep an eye out for you dude! sorry to hear about the bad news!

  • It was a red gatorskin, which I don't think they make any more.

Big thanks to wingedangel for lending me a wheel from her bike shop!

  • Hi, just got my bike nicked 2 hours ago.
its a red singlespeed with bullhorns and deep rim wheels.
It was parked outside the Barts and the London Medical school library, whitechapel.
I would hugely appreciate if you guys could look out for my bike.
Will also pay a visit to Brick lane market on sunday.
Dont know how to post pictue directly, so please look at this link.

  • Stolen in brighton, if someone will see it please give a ring 07827494238.

Very pretty. Hope it shows up!

  • Mate got his (antiporn) red BREV deepV front wheel and chrome drops with red lizardskins tape nicked last night from Shoreditch High St.

Long shot, but if anyone spots the wheel give us a shout...

  • Dura Ace aero seatpost and brown suede concor stolen from my mates bike yesterday when locked up outside Barbican.

this is my fear - brake levers and tape top the list of expensive components on my bike, costing more together than the rest of the build :/

  • Red Langster, huge Kryptonite M18 still attached to frame, Carradice rack attached, 'Mexico' decals, last seen near Shoreditch park at 10.45pm - thieves reportedly tried to sell on Hoxton Market. Desperate...

My friend got his lights nicked (admittedly should have been removed) from outside the Barbican last night too. Someone must have been doing some serious shopping.

  • So what's the best way to secure a saddle to a frame? I've only used cable locks or bike chains... Didn't realise people were cutting locks to get at them to this extent. I guess if you have a brooks you need to take it with you. Jeez.

IF ANYONE IS USING A BROOKS YOU CAN USE A PITLOCK TO SECURE THE SADDLE TO THE POST. I think it better than [strike] liquori [/strike] cable locks/chains despite recent revelations.

  • Ffs!!

STATE EXACTLY WHICH LOCK(S) YOU WERE USING, AND
HOW LONG IT HAD BEEN LEFT (LOCKED UP) FOR.

Was locked for a couple of hours with a Kryptonite NY Fahgeddaboutit lock to railings on New North Rd, just north of the canal. The thieves got through the railings.
Very recognisable by having reflective spokes.

Standard Allen bolt, no cable/other lock involved.

For what it's worth, this is it.
As you can see, the police weren't terribly useful despite the clear opportunity to catch the thieves: http://www.bikeshepherd.org/bikes/show/Specialized-Langster-5780861

  • And I forgot to mention tyre colours, etc.
So just to reiterate, on the off-chance:

    Red Langster
Red rear tyre, black front tyre
    'Mexico' and evolution image decals
    Drop bars without tape.

Ho hum. (And apologies if multiple posts have clogged thread for a few moments.)

My partner and I had both our bikes stolen this evening. It was between 6pm and 7 pm at Mile End Leisure Centre. The bikes were locked to the bike racks right near the entrance with CCTV and heaps of people coming and going.
They were a silver felt f35 and a bright green/turquoise Bianchi Nirone 7.

    Red Drink bottle holder
    Red walled Michelin Race tyres

    2) Bright turquoise/green
Bianchi Via Nirone Alu Hydro 7 Coast-2-Coast road bike with Campagnolo Xenon 10 speed set.
Frame : Alu Hydro 7000 Triple Butted (53cm)
Forks: Full Carbon K-Vid (incl. carbon steerer for even less weight)
Deralliers & shifters: Campagnolo Xenon 10 speed
    Seat post: RC carbon
    Seat: San Marco Ponza
    Brakes: RC
Wheels: Ambrosio WS23 eyeleted rims with Miche hubs for Bianchi
Tyres: Michelin Dynamic Sport front & Vittoria Diamante Pro Kevlar Carbon (anti-puncture) rear.

  • Sorry to hear that. I hadd my bike stolen from the same place a couple of years ago whilst I was having a swimming. I think there is a group of c***'s that focus on that patch despite the apparent deterrent that the CCTV provides!

When it happened to me both the local police and leisure centre management (who are always crap) were both useless and told me the CCTV wasn't conclusive as the assailants were hooded!

I hope it's a different story with you and you get them both back.
