  • Size is 48cm compact frame, Campag Veloce groupset, small chip on rear derailleur, two small scratches on bike levers. Otherwise in IMMACULATE condition.

Extra which may have been removed.
    Schwalbe black and grey tyres
    Sensor for Cateye Wireless speedo
    Two black water bottle cages

Thank you to anyone with any info!!

  • you can't lock up bikes like that, they're just too flashy.

  • I had a look round Brick Lane today. There were a few people selling shit bikes and that's all. They'd be foolish trying to shift a £1000 bike there.

  • Cycled through Kentish Town before, there was a kid who was about 10 or so, hanging round with a couple of even younger kids, but trying to balance on a red Fuji Classic Track, with yellow tape and SPDs.

If this is yours, sorry that I thought your kid/younger brother looks like a scally. If it was yours, I reckon you can take him.

  • Thank you for the comments. It's some comfort to know there's decent people out there who'll keep their eye out.

It's a "rare" looking bike and does stand out (probably why it was stolen!). Maybe that might help find it.

Anymore info, even if not positive info is appreciated.

  • Well moody

  • Stolen Koga track on eBay!

Seller states 'You're welcome to inspect the bike before auction ends.' maybe people can arrange to go around if somebody has a frame number etc?

  • Got my brooks saddle stolen twice yesterday...yes TWICE.

Was chained to the railings in London Fields along with about 30 other bikes, went for a ten minute wander, and came back to catch the dirty thief red-handed pulling my brooks of my cycle in broad daylight in front of everyone. After a little cafuffle, I got it back. He was some old sad pisshead.

Anyway, I've been meaning to scratch my name and number into it and after that I thought, I'll do that when I get home. Unfortunately home didn't come round soon enough. I went to the royal oak on Colombia Road, locked my bike up right outside the door, and when I came out the saddle had gone. Bloody scummers.

It was an old, not well looked after, B17 standard, so nothing fancy. Fit my ass perfectly though. It's been on my bike for a good year and a half and never had any problems before.

  • The most irritating situation, to know some prick is wandering around with your saddle...fuckers! The thing with brooks saddles is that try will get stolen at some point if left somewhere in London, especially if you're locking it up everyday. On a different note both of demons bikes at bespoke bristol, on of which won best track bike, where fully kitted out with atomic22 bolts, and it looks the business, obviously the beautiful frame contributes to that aswell!!

  • Hi all,

Just had a red BMC streetfire stolen from my car (stupid of me to leave it in there on show I know).

If anyone sees one knocking around, please let me know....

  • Hello lfgss,

I've not posted much on here but always used as a resource and now I wondering if you can help me.

I had my cinelli fixed gear stolen from outside trullo restaurant on st pauls road by highbury corner at some point today between 9am and 3pm.

I'm devastated and at a loss as what to do now. Reported it to the police. Will put up posters around the area. will go to brick lane on sunday (is it worth going during the week) and will trawl ebay and gumtree. any further advice appreciated.

    Here is a picture.

The image is off the internet but I'll put up an actual photo as soon as I get it off my phone. She was a cinelli vigorelli fixed gear track frame, with air wind profile bars covered in blue bar tape, light blue deep V's with gatorblade tyres. It had a plain cinelli black saddle and seat post. The crank is miche.

    Thankyou

  • was it locked with that lock?

  • Did you have insurance? If it was locked like that, with that lock, how on earth could anyone get enough leverage on a pair of bolt croppers to cut through the shackle? Unless they used something else like a power tool...Surely that would be too loud though. Sucks Thea, she's very pretty..

  • was it locked with that lock?

Wondered the same when I saw it posted... hope not, I just bought a Fahghettaboutit.

  • no it wasn't locked with that lock, it was lean't against some railings :(

    it was my own fault.

In that theoretical instance, somebody could have taken a hammer to the railings and shattered them, walking away with the bike in seconds. Railings should be a last resort and if you're stuck with them, try to get one of your locks around one of the thicker edge/top bars. Sucks that, in many places, railings are still the only option.

  • ^ i need to see evidence of this shattering

  • Was it not locked at all Thea? :-(

  • ^ Steel railings don't have that problem, to be accurate, but those look like old/cheap cast iron railings and cast iron is a known quantity, with very well known flaws.

    Stolen Koga track on eBay!

Anyone know who it belongs to??

If that is the one that was seen in SE8 they were only asking £150 for it. From what I gather, the local market traders told him/her to piss off because it was so blatantly nicked.

  • Ever stopped in for a pint at the Scolt Head near Kingsland Road? Shakiest, rustiest and most loosely cemented railings I've ever seen. It is a bike thief's heaven (though the pub has kindly put up signs to discourage it)

Most of the bars looks as if they've already been twatted into oblivion!
