• Hi there guys. My buddys bike was stolen Last friday night in the clapham common area. If anyone sees a bright yellow BLT frame, white h+son on the rear, white bars, white saddle, profile chain ring no grips and stickered white front aerospoke, Gimme a shout. Ill try to get a picture up.

cheers

• If anyone has "mislaid" a single speed black Garry Fisher, with a white saddle (with a black section on the back?), narrower wheels than 700x23's (which is what mine are), bright green bar tape, and (I think) shimano spd pedals, I followed it for a bit on my way home last night.

The chap riding it was doing so like he stole it (up and down full hight kerbs, trying to sprint away from me when he realised I was following, only to give up and then try again once he'd got his breath back). What initally made me suspicious of it was the fact that he was wearing open sandals with spd pedals, and that he had the seat right down and could barely reach the pedals. It was certainly too tall for him to stand over.

Let me know if you recognise this description, and I'll let you know where he went. not sure it'll help, but it might do!

• ^ sounds alot like Glenn's bike if i remember correctly,

http://www.lfgss.com/member14817.html

he's not been on the forum for a couple of weeks though, or reported it stolen on the thread

• Good memory alexis! I'll send him a text...

• Yellow vintage Pinarello Treviso, columbus steel tubing with Eddy Merkx engraved Cinelli stem, straight Campag forks, Miche chainring, Campag headset, Cinelli drop bars, black decals.
Jacked from Kentish Town in the early hours of this morning. So gutted.

• got text from 3k! Where was it spotted what time?? any info text me 07963 434 748 at work now! thanks everyone!

• Spotted the chap somewhere around here, http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=The+Jolly+Gardeners,+Garratt+Lane,+London&hl=en&ll=51.447267,-0.189428&spn=0.018294,0.036435&sll=51.444432,-0.186853&sspn=0.037875,0.07287&vpsrc=0&t=m&z=15 and then followed him to here, http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Pangbourne+Court,+Hazelhurst+Rd,+Wandsworth,+London+SW17+0UF,+United+Kingdom&hl=en&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=22.455652,57.084961&vpsrc=0&geocode=FdzJEAMdDjj9_w&t=m&z=16 where he stopped outside, not sure if he went in or not though. This would have been at abot 16:45 on Monday.

If someone can pm me a frame number/contact details, if I spot it again I'll call the Dibble, and get them out to deal with it.

• did he look irish? the theif was, but he claim to the police to have sold it. prob for next to nothing

• Nope, more Indian, I tried to get a photo of him with my hemet cam, but I'd forgotten to charge it, so it wasn't running :(

"BLACK FIXED GEAR BIKE GOOD CONDITION WITH CREATE FOOT STRAPS"

http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/fixed-gear-good-condition-150-ono/87885356

(sorry for bein hyper active in this thread now, just I'm looking for my bike on bikeshd.co.uk, thinking if he thinks someone spoted it he might try to sell it)

• Keep up the hyper active behaviour my good man. Im on the bay, gumtree, bikeshd and loot everyday hunting Aarons BLT so dont apologise.

• Another one gone today:

Except it had a cheap front wheel to allow a braking surface. Soho area. More details to follow.

• My Giant Track Team was stolen this evening from outside The Prospect of Whitby pub in Wapping. It was black, small, with carbon forks, brakless but had a Kore front lever mounted to the FSA compact drop bars. Carbon SCUD stem, white Bontrager Racelite front wheel, black destickered Mavic Ellipse rear, Schwalbe ultremo tyres, Prolite track cranks, 48-15 gearing, specialized carbon seat post, Coda saddle, clear plastic flat pedals, half link chain.
If anyone spots it please let me know. Reward if found.
Thanks. Dan 07766813431.

• Anyone recognise this? It's on gumtree at the moment with a pretty suspicious description.

I only post it because it's so distinctive. Must belong to someone on here.

Apologies if it's legit!

EDIT: Not sure if I should be posting stuff like this here. Got my mouse hovering over the delete button if anyone takes umbrage...

• Took my bike back today, bad cosmetic condition, brakepads gone, but otherwise very sound, feelt so good riding it home! I LOVE THIS BIKE!!

The person got it in Vuaxhall market for 70 pound, and did not resist what so ever when I approched him.

I am thinking about writing down the full story and make a new topic about it, might be helpfull for other people that had their bike back... or maybe post as a reply in "what to do if" thread?
Please let me know what you think!

if you had you bike stolen, tell everyone you know and never give up! Thanks everyone!

3k:
No need to delete it mate, if it's legit, no damage done, if it's not, you might have helped someone to get their bike back (well you already done that once now!)

Special thanks to you and MrDrem, thank you to everyone else who been involved aswell!

• Ha Ha great news. Thats amazing after all this time. Top stuff. I got mine back last winter thanks to the forum (though it had only been gone for a week) and there have been a many other successes too. Great.

• A guy I work with had his Specialized Tricross stolen after getting the lock cut on friday 16th september about 8pm outside a pub on john adam street, near charing cross. Its a bit lighter silver than this picture and has drop bar levers as well as levers on the bar.. but other than that its pretty much the same.

• Superglad to have been of help Glenn, and glad that my instincts about it being dodgy where right!

• Congrats Glenn. Next on the list us your Fuji cyclotron3k!
