  • Thanks dude. I was stepping out every ten minutes! I was so anxious the whole time. The rack is still there, the saddle bag still there. Just silver Open Pros is the difference.

Yea, I was gonna head round brick lane and broadway market. Long shot, and I don't exactly live round the corner.

  • bummer.

    what did they get through?

  • I live just round the corner from the dolphin so will be on the search for you. PM me your number if you want.

  • Two kryptonite d-locks! I was in the pub from midnight to about 3am. So I guess they saw it and then came back with some serious tools.

Omar - thanks man, really appreciate it 07949 247 398

    Ben is the name.

  • fucksake. did they cut them or pop them open, or not leave them atall? you'd think outside a busy pub someone would notice/raise the alarm.

  • I had My Merckx O.S. Strada nicked (they didn't even leave the locks that they had sheared through), put an advert on gumtree and then got a call from a sketchy sounding gentleman the next day- I went down to meet him at his stall at New Covent Garden Market (Vauxhall) where some guy who had 'bought it from another stall) (B+llocks had he!) and was trying to re-sell it- They called as they couldn't get my seatpost out (Thank you Chemical Sealing- I will never complain about stuck seatposts in the future) and thought I had a radio tracker in (I have now).

Anyway, I went down there and managed to get it back. The guy insisted that the stall wasn't is and that he was working there for a friend (blah de blah de blah) as the guy who had my bike shone his gold teeth at me and his mate handled a D lock threateningly. I told them that it had been reported to the police, the police knew I was there etc. and they parted with it easy enough. Lucky me...

Anyway, Afterwards I told the police officer that I had been dealing with that I had seen three or four similar stalls all in the market / jumble sale. The police promptly did nothing about it. **Please be aware that if you live in South London there's a good chance your bike may be there. **I saw loads of nice bikes stranded between the mountain bikes and shoppers, including a nice old 80's condor with some lovely kit on and loads of other stuff. There were a particualrly large number of expensive road wheels as well- all shoved on top of each of the white vans. One stall was pretty much all seat posts and saddles. Well peeved that the rozzers did ntohign about it. more bpeeved that these guys are still going round collecting what they can and getting away with it.

  • whatok - they didn't leave a mark. it was as though it was never there.

Dancer - reading all that fills me with hope and enrages me. i plan to keep my eyes peeled online and who knows.

this is now bike number 2 stolen.

  • Embarrasing! ha! Think what you want of me, I could give a shit. I know that this was not his bike, I would bet my life on it. I'm in no way a hipster and ride a fixie, I was just trying to help someone who's obviously had their bike stolen.

OMG! That makes my blood boil!

  • Hello, I want to offer an AWARD of £200 for My Lovely TREK XO1 2011, 54 cm, black which was stolen on 27th of August from the front of the building Fontain Leisure Centre at Chiswick.
There is award of £200 for help me to find my bike. So please, if you have any information, which will help me to get my bike back please contact me on skyela2@hotmail.com

    There are some more details:

Orginal tyries have been changed to Shwalbe Marathon Plus 700x32. There were almost new.

    I put also self-sealing tubes.

The bike was bough through Evans Cycles, so it should still have their logo, if not removed.

One of the velve cover was green.

There were few scratches on the main frame on the TREK sign.

The orginal back red light has been removed and replaced with proper, flashing.

Orginal bell has been also removed (it was not very responsive) and replaced with new one, which was attached with a blue wire (my own idea), so it looked a little bit strange. However all those items could have been changed and also replaced by new owner.

Computer was installed in the middle of handlebar, but it did not have a small sensor on the wheel (I still have got it - that is what I have left.......after him)

  • I had my incredibly loved custom Orange P7 stolen from the inside of my front door in Englefield road N1. The little shits managed to get enough wiggle between the door to pop it open and slip out without me or my boyfriend hearing a thing whilst in bed.

A little scary to wonder if they'd been watching me coming and going each day and just sat it out long enough until they dared to try. I guess it stood out with all those gears in the fixie capital of London.

Noteable enough to recognise hopefully, but sure it doesn't look too much like this anymore....thanks to anyone willing to keep an eye out for my much missed bike!

  • Hey, does this sound just a little too inexpensive...

Doesn't look too suspicious to me, Seller seems to know the spec and GI quite well and lots a decent pictures which suggest time and care but it could be a clever bike thief. Hard to say.

  • He should sell the spok on here for £250.

  • Reported.

    So did I.

  • Stolen, 10 minutes ago from outside tooting bec station

    red 2004 Fuji Track with:
    white deep-v's (rear non-machined)
white spokes (except for one red spoke on each wheel)
    white BLB hubs
    white charge spoon
    white SPDs

(all in stark contrast to the dark dark heart of the scoundrel who stole it).

Please let me know if you see it.

    Gutted.

  • ^noooooooo! sorry aidan..

  • Still no sign of my Roberts track.....if you see it out there give me a shout, cheers

I recognised that bike, the previous owner ride like an idiot and lived between Wimbledon/Tooting, think he had it for more than a year.

Do you think he walks around with that helmet on all day while he's nicking bikes because he thinks he looks less suspicious, or something?

he went straight for that back corner ... I guess its the most obvious place to leave an unlocked bike, hidden away a bit. Wonder how many others he's had from there?

  • from vid looks like a pro LMNH thief, likely been and done same thing before.
Can't you borrow fahgs for free locking up outside there?
