It was locked with a Kryptonite cable through both wheels, frame and locked with padlock to the seat rails. In retrospect, maybe a d-lock was needed? i'm out of town this weekend - if anyone is down at brick lane or other trade spots etc please keep an eye out. cheers.
Yes, sadly, a d-lock really is needed these days.

BROOKS SADDLE STOLEN
Brook was stolen - railings at bottom of hackney rd where it crosses kingsland rd. (rest of bike OK)
2 years i had molded it- oh it hurts
Made worse that the allen bolt had been filled, seat covered with cover and plastic bag! Also saw an other guy who had also had his Brooks stolen in the same area.
If anyone see's it over the weekend at the markets let me know.
I sprayed horrible florescent yellow paint on the underside and it has blue denim stains at pressure points. -

Right my mate Elliott (Dark Rainy Sunday) on here has just bought a beautiful Witcomb which he was doing up and last night someone broke into his flat on Kingsland Road and nicked it. They also nicked everything else of worth hence the reason I'm making this post on his behalf.
It should be easy to spot very distinctive back wheel as the colours don't go at all - claret bike and purple rear deep V with white hub.
Please all keep an eye out and if you see it call Elliott on 0seven95eight0seven0sevensix2

It must have been dark in the flat for them to want to take that.
On a serious note, hope your mate finds the scum/gets a load of insurance money.

My condolences to your friend, being broken into is awful. Maybe he can do a less ugly build with the insurance money!

Try to imagine it without the garish purple. A Witcomb is class though.

The checkered cranks.. Maybe good riddance ?Sorry to hear about the break in though, your mate must be shattered.

Had my bike stolen from opposite the Prince George pub in Hackney on Friday night.
It's an On-One Il Pompino with carbon forks and Wooden Sykes Mudguards. It had Soma Noah's Arc bars on it when it went, so not exactly the same as the photo.
If anyone sees it please call me on 07880631870
It's got a Pitlock headset bolt on it so they'll probably have to sell the frame, forks, headset (On-One) and stem (Hope) as one...if the Pitlock thing actually holds.
They were caught on the pub's CCTV and went through the Abus lock in the photo in 25 seconds! I'd been thinking recently that I should've got a better lock but I didn't realise they were quite that cack.
Anyway, I'd be grateful if folks could keep a look out for it.

Just had both my newly built wheels nicked on Kingsland road.
Two Halo Aero Track rims on System x hubs. Easily recognizable as i had to grind down the axle to fit the old school M8 dropouts. Back wheel is double fixed and had a 1/8th 18T cog.
If you see anything like these, they are stolen.
If anyone does tries to sell you this please let me know.
Sorry for the crap picture.
Kim

kim_t, sorry about the theft. So that others may learn from it, can you tell us what you used to lock them? Hope you might get them back.
Also, you're really tall! So, hopefully it will take longer to sell.

Kim, thats proper shite! Sorry man. A right pain as you had to get them 110mm rear spaced and grind the axles to fit that frame! Will keep an eye out mate.

Unfortunately I can't really say, I didn't see the CCTV footage myself and they took the lock with them. The bloke who looked at the footage said they appeared to be sawing it?

Hi Guys
I've had my bike stolen on Friday night on De Beauvoir Rd where two guys kicked me off my bike and took it. So I will recommend that people do not cycle up this road alone at night.
It's a "Rapide" frame, it's singlespeed freewheel, has brooks saddle and handlebar tape.
If anyone sees it or can help with finding it I would be super happy!
You can contact me here, on my email mckfradk [at] hotmail.com or +45 six 0 one three six 0 three one

My mate had this beauty stolen yesterday. He usually D-locks but thought he could get away with a cable lock alone in a dodgy area. If you see it, please PM me.
