My girlfriend's bike was stolen from her warehouse in Clapton/Stamford Hill last night.
The bike was kept in the corridor of the locked building, the bike was no real marque but it was her pride and joy, it is a raleigh panache mixte framed bike, a kind of washed out turquoise colour, pink graphics, drop handlebars with a very distinctive 80s style blue, green and pink patterned tape.
white saddle, one mudguard on the front, the rack from the picture has been taken off.
If anyone may see it then I'd really appreciate if you could PM me or call me on 07958548205. Probably a long shot, not being that recognisable or one that you'd necessarily look at but she loves it.Cheers
Simon

Hey sorry about the seperate thread. Mine and my girlfriends bike were stolen from our flat in Hackney Central between midnight and 4am last night. Mine is a white Ellis Briggs Lo-Pro with a front HED 3. Brooks saddle. It had a small dent on the top tube.
My girlfriends
If you see either or any parts (the HED 3's braking surface was partly covered in tape that was wearing off, and a pratically mint White San Marco saddle) please give me a call on 07706147sixoneseven or my girlfriend on 0seven73sixfourseven027seven. Thank you

Update: Mine has been spotted along Kingsland Road. The person riding it may have been Asian and looked like he may have brought it. It never had my HED3 on it so they may have been sold separately. So again if anyone spots it give me a shout at the above phone numbers. Thank you.

Can you give anymore details of how they got nicked from your flat? I live just around the corner from you, fckin hell!

The bikes were kept in a communial hall (my building contains three flats). The flat below was having a halloween party and were apparently having people coming and going all night. The main door has three dead locks so instead of continuingly letting people in one smart arse decided it would be a good idea to wedge the door open, thus meaning anyone who was wondering by could just nip in and take what they want.
Needless to say I pissed mainly because our flat got robbed before because someone (in the exact same flat) did the same thing.
I think it was opportunistic rather than planned. So I don't think you worry so much.

Thanks Johnny.... I also have bikes in my house, that can be seen from the outside (backyard). I don't know man, I used to live in Bethnal Green and my house was robbed 3 times, before I moved in. This sucks.

BTW
I was on my bike when it was stolen, outnumbered 10-1 and trapped by obstacles designed to slow down cyclists on the canal at the angel,
beware M

this thread is so bloody depressing, reminds me of when i lost my Giant nearly 2 years back. I recommend a search of brick lane market if your bike gets nicked local to there.
-
• #2965
but to get it nicked while you are still on it, thats fuckin bad luck, maybe we need some vigilante riders out there!

How I know that feeling too well. Mine has been spotted 3 fucking times since it was nicked. Best of luck to both of us and the rest on here who have lost their rides

Some bunch of tits just nicked my Giant SCR - literally 45 mins ago from Pendeford business park area of Wolverhampton. It is sure to be on Pendeford and it looks like they have been watching me lock it up as they were in and out in 30 seconds. They are on CCTV so hopefully police will get on to it.
Like this but black and red.
The registration of the van is:
N106 BKV - White van (Citroen the witness thought)
It is my commuter bike - I gave up my car so I could specifically ride to work. Wankers.
Reward for any info.

Dude you´ve got all the info, I wish I had a license plate to report...you do.
Smack the shit out of that van If you ever find it. -

And? I know a fair few people that visit this site from the Midlands. So what?
Question my taste in bikes on the porn section etc, fine. I'm right fucked off as it is - I don't need you questionning my posts which are in the 'stolen' section. Arse.
The more people I tell, the better.

This thread makes me seriously worried about buying a new bike, no where is safe. Nightmare!
don't worry, more than half the people (you know who you are) who have their bike stolen tend not to lock it properly/lock it in the east end of London (especially the popular Shoreditch area).
I have my bike for 3 years, locked it everywhere in London and it still hasn't got stolen, and neither my missus after I taught her how to lock it properly, where and how long for.
it's not really a rocket science, I'm pretty sure that when you go around town, you seen decent-ish bicycle that are locked with £10 lock.
And? I know a fair few people that visit this site from the Midlands. So what?
I asked because it's a bit unusual to post a stolen bike from Wolverhampton in a London forum, isn't there's a Wolvehampton cycling forum where you can post your stolen bike and increase the likeihood of it getting spotted dramatically?
ouch!
