As this seems to be a continuous post I'd like to report a found bike just want to check out it has not been nicked, could take directly to police but have found them really crap at returning bikes to their owners.
So I found a week ago on a skip in Upper Clapton, Hackney a Blue Moulton if anyone has lost one get in touch at
adamt(at)constructionplus.net
Giving me details of the kit on the bike and I can arrange to let you have it back. The Zebra rides on

Shops buying second-hand goods should at least ask for ID from the seller and keep a record of it.
Makes sense to me!
+1 serial numbers.thats what have been done. copy of passport and proof of adress is always taken. the bike was bought ages ago and was hanging in the shop almost since i started working there. the person's partner found out like a month ago and suggested that it may be his partners frame and what Jan did is returned it straight away.so there.
is there any special way of recognizing when a bike/frame is stolen??? or recongizing a person dealing with stolen shit???? Not all of them wear track suits and say bruv way too often it seems.
and my good friend(not Jan) is a drug dealer....should I not let him/her into my house again in case he/she steals something????
happy new year

Maybe this was an exception to the rule, maybe not, I don't know.
Are you really trying to tell me that this in not how he financed the shop? I sure he's too busy for it now, but...
I did go too far in bringing that up, just because I think he's highly shady doesn't mean that I should be posting it. I'm sure he has his kind and philanthropic moments, I just normaly hear about and have experienced the other ones.

Stolen bits on new years eve... anyone else get a swipe over?
Freshly broken in Brookes B17
and a nice little black gear lever- 25 quid or so in BLB,
also my seatpost...
looking for replacements if anyone has anything?

it was up by stoke newington, only left it outside for a little bit, but they came along with clippers and took all the nice bits, could have taken my front wheel though, which would have crippled my life. I've sort of rectified the situation, but i'm really in need of a seatpost... the one i have in there is only sticking coz of the rust so it's down at a funny height... made my legs ache after just one journey!
in retrospect shouldn't have gone out without an extra lock or two, i guess they were praying on bints like me... good job i've got birthday money!

I visit Brick lane every sunday hoping I will stumble upon my brothers stolen ride. I go quite early and waunder around and see what I get offered. Last sunday was a black standard langster and a full suspension trek. Also on the car park off chesire street there is a elderly asian couple who normally have frames in there car. Just ask them if they have any and they will bring them out. Again last sunday they had a blue on one track frame and a old black viking frame.
I'll start trying to post stuff earlier on sunday morning to let people know what I see and maybe someone will recognise something.

The asian couple I mentioned above always have brooks saddles. Normally sell for around £20. I actually saw the asian man ride up on a bike and pull two from a backpack both with seat posts still attached!

Had My front wheel, brakes and saddle stolen off my charge Plug outside my house in De Beauvoir the night before last if anyone spots that combination of components pop up on the Brick Lane/Gumtree Circuit!
- Mavic open pro laced to formula track hub (original Plug front tire welllll used)
- Tektro front brack only, lever and caliper (not so fussed about as it was banjoed!!)
- Dark Brown (very brocken in) Brookes saddle! including silver Plug default seatpost...
Don't intend on ever seeing any of it again, but thought I should mention it in case anyone else lives in the DeBeauvoir town area (Islington/Hackney). Several of my house mates and neighbours have had parts (not complete bikes) half inched from our road and the adjacent road....(Culford Rd - DeBeauvoir Rd)....
