cheers jv.
I understand the receipt point everyone is making. but there are reasons/excuses the seller could've made, I don't think I can produce a receipt for the frame, only reference buying it online with posts/ebay records etc (which I know constitute proof of purchase)
From what I gathered, the guy was providing the details of where/who he bought and collected it from.
Hoping other people on the thread have similar luck finding their steeds

This bike has been stolen from inside our work garage which has a lock and key access on one side and RFID card access on other
It belongs to a work mate. I built it up for him. And it looks exactly like that except there is a thin black tape on top tube used as frame protector while building.
Pls keep eyes peeled
A bit noob-y but where is the info for when your bike gets stolen?

Whitebait, mine was found with blue post, risers and stem (all added after I had it taken)
You talking about one with HPlus SL42s and Miche Primato hubs (all silver)?
If so, how come/ Its supposed to be locked up at Stoke Newington five-oh
Phil721, not sure, gave up riding fixed shortly after it went. But maybe getting it back will up my laze-to-excecise ratio. Will drop you a PM if selling though

Found on another forum, unsure where to post so thought this might work
Hopefully the original owner will get his/her bike back
We’ve seized a bike we think is stolen – and we need your help returning it to it’s owner.
This morning a man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and when we searched his house in north Bristol we found this bike. It’s a Yeti ASR full-suspension mountain bike which is custom-built and unique to its owner.
If this bike is yours, or you know whose it is, please contact Bristol CID on 101

Re. multi grooves: The idea that the police would take back-handers from bike thieves is ridiculous. This is a city with the highest proportion of billionaires in the EU, with masaratis / ferraris speeding up and down mayfair... so I think a bent copper could a little better than that. The problem here is more likely to be that we are talking about bicycles in the first place, not masaratis.
Do you even conspiracy, bro? We live in a society where Police have been found to bend, distort, lie and rewrite the testimonies of follow officers and emergency crew about dead children. I've been on the receiving end of lies, illegal detention followed by more lies from the police all with a complicit magistrate judge whom failed to question the most glaring hole in the sorry story. If you wanna keep your head in the sand pit be my guest.
An organiser of a Dr Bike or cycle instructor (I forget) recently told us of how her bike was stolen only for her to spot it for sale on Brick Lane. When she tried getting it back, the seller demanded money for it. She immediately reported it to an officer, who went to the seller and told him off (all on first name terms) and told her to give him half of what he was asking.

Two bikes taken from Hampton Court train station some point yesterday beteen 6am and 10pm. (2 because I'm a genius who puts two bikes on one lock).
First is a black Cannondale CAAD9. Campag Centaur groupset, Miche hubs on Mavic Open Pro's. Picture is below with one difference - it had a silver Thomson seatpost as I am trying a new saddle (Specialised Romin Evo). Also, stem is now a Deda one as oppoed to the 3T in the picture.
Second is Fuji Track classic, fixed, Stronglight cranks, red bartape. Bars are at a very upright angle.
