Stolen bikes

Someone left what looked to be a nicely specced up Ribble stealth outside metro bank by Holborn for at least five minutes. Unlocked, propped up against a door. I kept looking around, couldn't believe someone would leave it unsupervised.

Anyone lost a hybrid specialized with a raw fork? Saw some sketchy dudes with one near Limehouse last night.

The police have recovered my bikes! Had a call last week from Condor cycles as Police had been in touch with them and they had my details against the frame numbers(not sure why they didn't check bikeregister,immobilise where they are both reported stolen).
Eventually found out today they have them at Kennington Police station and recovered them day after they were stolen when executing a warrant at an address.

I'm going tmrw to pick them up and am really relieved to get them back. Police said they recovered about 8 bikes at the address so I'll try and see what else they have in case I recognise them from the boards.

Hi, just collected the bikes. They were in the yard at Kennington Police station and some bits missing/swapped and cosmetic damage etc.

They have about 50 recovered bikes there all piled up. Didn't recognise anything from the boards but didn't get to have a good look either.

Apparently they found them in a house Brixton/Camberwell borders and the guy they arrested is on bail till July so hopefully the link between my burglary and the bikes will be enough to get one bike thief off the streets for a short period.

Anyone lost a bike like this but with flat bars in Hackney? Spotted with someone who may or may not be the original owner, so to speak.

Had a black Brooks B17 stolen last nite fixed to a copper coloured slightly aero seatpost. Saddle was covered with a rubbish red Byron Burger cover. Stolen from Haggerston area. Doubtful I know but hey ho.

I came to this thread for help from you lovely people to look out for my brother in law Tomo Marcovic's stolen Condor, taken from doorstep while he just ducked into his house for a moment. It was his work bike for many years through the nineties and beyond while he rode the circuit for Creative Couriers. Creative and his job kept him on the straight and narrow having got here from Yugo during the wars. He's totally gutted about it.

It was their stock 90s track frame (tempo? not sure if it even had a name), dedacciai I guess, teardrop downtube, straight fork. Matt black paint, normal subtle decals visible. Scruffy but not fucked. Courier innit. Bullhorns with yellow spongy tape. From brak only. Mostly Miche, mostly silver parts, on open pros (or at least one open pro), black 25 tyres, 'skins I guess. Stolen with Time Atacs. Not sure of saddle, think it was a Selle San Marco with coloured patches on the wings.

Help a brother out if you see it people.

This is on my road - I saw that tree the other day and thought it had broken in the wind.
Depressing for lots of reasons, though the tree's thinner than that picture makes it look - definitely not one I'd have risked locking a bike to for any length of time.

Well, at this point, the hate I feel for a bike thief is surpassed by the hate I feel for a bike thief who would do THAT.

Report it to city police. postmaster@cityoflondon.police.uk I heard they get excited about chasing leads if the stolen bike is spotted. Even mores than the cycle task force.

my Geoff Roberts track bike got stolen from my building (I live above The Salisbury pub in Green Lanes)
