RLJing make cycling unique? really?

that's just a mere 1% of what wrong with the world, don't ever tell me that I have too much passion for bikes that give me tunnel vision.
completely disagree....this is about 0.001% of what is wrong with the world. ergh.
that anchovy thing is sad. I used to work in a guitar shop and we weren't allowed to sell a certain Fender guitar because it was made with a wood called Koa - apparently Koa only grows over a certain height above sea level in Hawaii.....basically McDonalds allegedly bought thousands of acres of Koa forests and ripped them all down to make way for cows for their burgers therefore making the Koa tree pretty endangered!
grim.

We've heard about it, because we eat tuna in the UK and anchovies for many are just a foreign muck. I quite like them, though. I'm going to do some thinking now.
This is very true, and very well put. However, anchovies are a key ingredient in two very English condiments: Worcestershire Sauce (marketed overseas as 'English Sauce') and Gentlemens Relish (patum pepperium).

There is one light I Jump and it is very close to my house, the light is as you come along Jeb avenue to join Brixton Hill and it doesn't change unless you're in motorised transport, I'm sort of hoping to be stopped for it and force them to take me to court for it to highlight it.
For me, if I wish to be treated as road transport I have to obey the rules applicable to that transport, it also means if I want to complain at someone else, I'm in the right.
Someone pointed out to me a long time ago that if we all obeyed the highway code there would be no accidents. -

Actually, thats probably not true. The cycling guidlines in the highway code are pretty pathetic. If I remember right it says to go around rounadabouts riding at the outer edge!
It also offers no information for more complicated junctions.
Also in many places (like birmingham) the road network is only designed with buses and and cars in mind. You often have to go pretty out of your way when theres a pretty good route ahead with a bus activated traffic light etc..

Sorry Ed. You mis-interpreted me.

So is there a ring or a band so we can all see each other?

So true. Drivers do the same. Like bloody sheep.
And pedestrians

Ha Ha, I actually thought DFP was serious for a second. I was like "whoa dude, fuckin high horse you're sitting on, long way to fall" and all that... And then I thought for a second, no, this guy can't be serious.. and then realised that this is the best piss-take thread of the year! You go boy, Mr. muscleman DFP! You tell those RLjumpers how much better you are than them and how you're getting street cred, oh and what was that word you used, oh yeah, "respect" from the car drivers!! Woot!
....oh and then naming it an abstinence thread while acting like a morally-superior-closer-to-god-born-again- (while buggering my son at night) -Christian, fucking brilliant!!
If I too act like a good little girl like you and pretend what I do is somehow safer because I follow arbitary rules and the colourful lights, do you think my daddy will give me a promise ring and love me more?
Oh and what about my boyfriend who's pressuring me to cross streets without looking both ways? If I pray with him will he some day be more like you?
Yeah go Mr DFP! Get on that soap box, preach, preach, preach!!! LOL ROFL, Ha Ha Ha.

...oh oh, and I love how you combine all RLJumping like it's all the same thing, hilarious!! Like all people who choose to get on with their day and choose the route that works best for them and keeps them safest are all crazy and shit... like, what'd you say again? "fixie skidders fly through traffic no braks willy nilly with quite frankly brutish arrogance"
ha, this guy is toooooo good. OMG! You called people you never met arrogant while acting like an arrogant prick, too funny!! Is there a FGSS Award for best sense of humour? Because, dude, DFP, I am nominating you! Whoo, love your style! -

I think he is trying to highlight the the chumps that make mothers with prams scared to cross the road despite having a green light to say YES, THE TWO OF YOU CAN SAFELY CROSS the road.
Yes, most lights/phasing/road layout are designed with cyclists as an after thought.
Yes, there's a difference between lights but even I have been getting really annoyed when waiting at pedestrian lights where there are loads of people who've chosen NOT to jay walk but have decided to wait until it's safe to cross only for some daft fixie skider/nodder + acolytes to nonchalanty cruise through giving folk the scare of their lives.
No, that ain't cool.I also feel that there is a strong point to be raised about how this behavior gives rise to aggerssion from other road users towards cyclists as a whole, no?
disclaimer: I am NOT holier than thou but I do try to strive toward good road manners to others*.

Roxy, I may just have fallen in love with you, you've got that whole bad girl with sense of humour thing going for you, but it would never work between us because you'd always get places before me having J'd all the RL's on route...
