yeah that must be a really old version. looks nothing like mine (i've got an ultimate). had a quick peek on the pac website and doesn't seem to match anything.
how are you wearing it?

doesn't look like my old one (the predecessor to the street), or my new one (same as ted's). Don't remember if the old one had the plastic clips on the end of the main strap or not? If it did, it certainly didn't bother me.

ah yeah. that looks like a problem that they've sorted out in the newer version. maybe find a bit of padding to stick under the adjuster? and sort your straps out, or you'll trip on them!

Or can you pull the clip back so it's above the fabric of the bag?

He is very friendly and I'm sure in the right light he's skinny enough to be confused with a ghost..

I'd take Ted's advice to heart. A piece of padding (from an old back back perhaps?) could leave you with, what looks like, a perfectly good bag.

Can you pull that clip 'forward' so it's closer to your chest?
-

maybe a piece of cloth (or even better, thicker webbing) under the adjuster thingy would be enough to keep it from jabbing you.
