  • dogsballs kam they look like 700c to me? it's deceiving on old frames which were designed for 27", hence the typically brick clearance. personally i'd keep em :) . have fun with 52:15, or prey it's pancake flat around your place.

You sure? It looks like 650 on the tyre sidewall to me. It also looks like a little frame (check the headtube length).
I could be making all this up though.. it's in my nature to start arguments for a laugh.. ;)

  • lpg i think 151 is a defunct bcd size ...old campag ..

yes, i have one sitting on my mantlepiece

  • hey guys,

nah they are definately 650s! i've been riding it since yesterday when it arrived.

dogsballs - i know! the gearing is tough work! i gotta get that sorted next, but first i just can't get down with the wheels. no clearance (negative in fact, the clips scrape and jam up when i walk with the bike).

Don't get me wrong, the wheels are cool, but just not for me on this bike!

So unxetas - what you got? I am in London, where you?
It's an odd bike, the frame is really cool. not actually that small either (but i am only 5 foot 7")

    cheers,

  • got a fizik arione wingflex saddle - don't want to trade, just give me £25 for it. Condition 7/10.

  • ah, was only joking and assuming they were 700c! Although I have a pair of rims going cheap.. I thought I might have spokes to fit as well but looks like they might be 1 or 2mm too big.. :S

  • anyone got a spare very long 27.2mm seatpost? if so can bring to bike polo on sun. could swap with a bianchi one, med length.

  • I have for sale or swap,

shimano 105 slr type brakes, front and rear.
Shimano brake levers, tiagra single lever and old 105 single lever pairs.
black and scratched Kore 27.2mm seatpost, quite long.
    New nitto 27.mm seatpost. Shortish
Black thomson seatpost 27.2 cut to about 250mm.

    I need,
    103mm italian thread bb
    riser bars, silver pref.

may have a couple of 54cm frame to add soon too.

  • 103mm italian thread bb - i have a record carbon one, that i can trade with whatever
for a frame. frame it's in now needs replacing.

I need that black thomson seatpost- I got some silver aluminium riser uncut.

  • Sounds good to me.
Let me know your email and i'll shoot you over a pic.

    Chris

  • Cane Creek SCR-5s F + R. I bought them second hand for £40 from Flatlander thinking they'd fit my frame, but the drop isn't long enough (evidently my frame is large in every sense!). I think the rrp is £100 ish, they're in excellent condition (I was very pleased with them until they didn't fit). Don't want to lose money on them, I could probably ebay them for more but I'm not looking to make money either...

or would swap (plus money, from me to you) for a super-strong, true pair of 700c wheels (rear flip flop hub) (my frame has I think 135mm b/w rear stays).

    :) thanks

  • I gave away a brand new black 1" head set to a certain chef on this forum a month or two ago.
    Guess what I need now?

    Doh!

So if anyone has one for sale (black or silver) let me know - im in SE15 and work in N1 so can pick up from most places.

Alternatively i have various bits needing to go:
Profile Airwing Bullhorns, tekro levers, black and yellow conti 3000 tires (new) etc

  • Scrapper 103mm italian thread bb - i have a record carbon one, that i can trade with whatever
for a frame. frame it's in now needs replacing.

this sounds good, i may have been a bit premature though as i can't get the old one out at the moment.

    How much were you after?

    Chris

  • Mr Bungle
Alternatively i have various bits needing to go:
    Profile Airwing Bullhorns,

    diameter?

  • im looking for a complete fixed gear, 53cm-57cm....posted to Swansea University in Wales. email me at mduryea1@unm.edu with parts/bikes/so on

  • wanted two finger brake lever and cheap front wheel 27.2 seat post and saddle then i'll have a polo bike again
    what ya got

  • got couple levers, what size bars!? and fr wheel, pretty crap but ok for polo.

  • it is for polo how much and a quick description please
don't know diametre of bars but a goldfinger would fit them whatever size a goldfinger is

  • no goldfinger, specialised cross-top (all black) and bmx tekto/wellgo?!? black and chrome.

wheel is QR miche hub with campag melbourne rim, silver 32H, bearings very average, little wobbly, haven't tried to true.

i still reckon, go brakeless, lot less fuss, don't have to worry about dead wheels

Sorry they are 25.4 and 40cm.

  • Hey kam if you have negative clearance with 650c, then aren't you going to have some SERIOUS negative clearance with 700c? Forgive me if I have misread what you said...

  • nah i just mean that the bottom bracket is low so the clips scrape the floor when i walk with the bike. Makes me a little nervous when i take corners. Getting used to it kind of though...

  • eeek pedal strike. maybe get shorter length crank arms?

  • i got 170 cranks on it right now - but what's 5mm? Will it make any difference you reckon?
