Have signed up (only live a few miles away from start) but after bashing and bruising my hip badly last week I’m a bit doubtful and will depend how I feel when riding on Saturday

What are the logistics for this with the 2am start?

I'm thinking of doing it but can't remember why it starts in the middle of the night and what people do before / sleep, etc. I'm sure there is a reason for it then it will all make sense.

Actually, ignore this, I just read on and it made a bit more sense.

I've just signed up for The Shark 200 next month, starting to Greenwich.

I just got a late train down there and then hung out with security at a supermarket :)

It's done so peeps can ride the 200k the day after (which I'd ignored completely because I'd planned to ride there and back and only realised the 2am start late and couldn't do it with work hours)

You're in better shape than me at the moment in that case. I've been on the wattbike and in the gym for most of the winter. This will be my second 200km of 2019.
