My Garmin died so I lost all my track for GMC so couldn't validate, so didn't see the point doing the Sunday too.
This kinda ruined my buzz for the weekend too. https://www.lfgss.com/comments/14242471/
Feeling good for Highlands I can't wait for the scenery, I've done enough riding in Kent for a life time this year!

It's going to run, I think Ivan just needs to settle on a date.
Depending on what weekend it ends up on I could be up for that, could offer a bed at mine after GMC I'm 5 minutes from Ivan's.

Annoying. Losing ride data has stopped being something I think about since switching to wahoo.
Drunk driver sounds very rural Sussex.
I feel very much same way about the entire South East at moment. I was looking at the Scotland route the other day feeling a bit jealous.
Though am meant to be doing Border Raid 600 in July - just not sure if I'm actually capable of a 600. I've only done two 200k-ish rides so far this year. -

Anybody entered the TINAT rides on the 2nd/3rd June? I'd planned to ride the 400A but can't make it now. I will be helping out in the Elan Valley on the Saturday though, so hope to see some of you there.

Ouch.
Brimstone weekend.
Cold. Hot. Wet. Dry. Painful. Amazing.
Please - everyone should ride this ride.
Just hardboiled left. Confirmed as 15/07. In keeping with the ethos of the calendar, I'm going to travel down late at night and start at 0001 ish.

Thanks @J_a_m_es and @hippy for the Meridian Hills routesparation.
Finished it this time.
Wasn't feeling great after getting something viral last week and not being able to look at the bike.
It's a great /strange route, as you previously said James, no gratuitous hills or really too many famous ones either but it's still fucking relentlessly rolling / hilly. No flat, the hills, they keep on coming. Magical bit with a Ford in the road the you go through twice near Hindleap Warren.
Felt really slow, couldn't get any power down. Don't know if it was because I'm not feeling great or the sunny weather, so so nice. So lucky that we have these routes available to us.
Anyone up for a DIY GMC?
Would be great to have some company.https://www.strava.com/activities/1602125824/

It was pretty surreal.
I had the dozies real bad at the time, and can't recall whole swathes of the night shift, but I can clearly recall the whole night sky lighting up above the canopy we were under. The everything silhouetted. It really was beautiful.
As an added bonus it temporaily woke me up a little too.
Thw whole weekend was a bit odd, from tramping around Poole trying trying settle down (I ended up pulling a couple of bins around the bus in the starting car park to provide cover- but don't tell anyone!),
two HUGE thunder storms, a massive prolonged spell the next morning., sunburnt kneecaps, a swollen eye from a rogue gnat, a live badger cub running in front of me for anout 200m (funny little creature it was), and finally, my wife actually offered to drive and pick me up!Great weekend though - and a good showing from ACH 4 of the 14 finishers and 2 of the 3 fixers.
I also earnt my first lanterne rouge.

Anyone riding Asparagus & Strawberries this weekend?

Not this year, it's a very fast 400 if you don't hang about in McDonald's too long and ride straight through, all the lumps are at the end, but it's Essex so nothing to worry about!

Cheers! Making good time so far hoping to be in Oban at 450k by 9pm tonight (which will be about 3 hours sooner than I'd planned so I might get a proper sleep tonight, been a fast route so far. Midges are driving me mad though!

Good luck @mustardbeak. Midges are only a problem if you slow down...

Still pedaling only 244k left today, midges are eating me alive, almost packed yesterday morning but managed to get through a pretty tough patch.
Scenery was epic yesterday! Got until 11pm tonight to finish

Just back from helping out at the start of the Ditchling Devil.
Hundreds of people off for a fun day down to (almost) Brighton and back. Hope the weather holds out for them.
Should really get myself fit again to get back into Audaxing.
Says he about to embark on a nearly 7000km trundle....
