  • Maplins Decal remover - lemon based - spray on to residue, leave for 5 mins, then wipe off with dish cloth

Smells a bit, but not toxic, and works a treat, Homebase sell something similar too
Thanks for the tip. I might nip over to Maplins now and get some.

  • Doesn't get much better than this.

i like it, i think - but something just looks a bit off to me...

  • The rear mech is 1st generation Campagnolo C-Record circa 84/85. The 2nd generation had the Campagnolo logotype, and the cage plate is cut where the top jockey wheel is.

  • Daily challenge: Guess the asking price on the above...?

  • anti imo, maybe not quite anti, but im not a fan. single-speed?

  • Actually the stem, much to everyone disappointment, is designed to drop like that (note the clamp area).

But why have a drop stem and loads of spacers, when could have used a 90 degree stem and no spacers to get same bar height. That many spacers don't look that great IMO. (Still much nicer than my bike though!)

I can see they have gone for a quill sort of look while maintaining advantages of ahead (lack of flexing all over the place)

  • i'm guessing astronomical so £995

Don't think it's designed to have that many spacers under it :)

  • Don't think it's designed to have that many spacers under it :)

Personally I think your looking at it the wrong way around. The stem might not have been the deciding factor.

    Guy thinks hmmmm...silver - silver - red - silver
That would be a nice spacer pattern.
Darn that puts my bars too high......
I know, deep drop track stem.

    ;)

  • Do not like.
