One thing I never understood was the advantage of having a smaller front wheel on such a large frame, would a 700c front wheel and smaller HT not be as fast if not faster?

I believe part of the reason was not to get lower, but to allow you to get closer to the bloke in front for drafting.

it's the black tyre - reflective strip - black tyre - silver machined rim - black rim -mess that ruins that build the most. With disc only non machined rims, some decent tyres and better cranks that would be pretty cool. Maybe change the stem too.
