I was talking to the owner the other day and he reckons for custom tape, it's not that expensive. Only a bit more than Brooks.

Likewise I was thinking black on red would look great on my Serotta

Ti., Lefty, Rohloff, Gates. All good. Tyre logo placement is slapdash though

Surprised there is not a sliding dropout without a mech hanger.

Could have snipped it...
Lever angle looks shit, poser biek rather than rider bike?

Curiously enough it's a show build. Rushed at the last minute I guess - the leaver angle and sloppy tyre mounting don't sit well with the rest of it.
Still if I wanted the ultimate XC mile muncher this is pretty much what I'd go for in terms of build.

If it was an option. I'd always get rocker drop outs over slidders. The wheel looks less like its hanging out the back, and the rear caliper is better protected (and neater).
Also is under the DT the best cable route for the gears?
Put mine next to the rear brake hose. So they'd be better protected, and out of the way if I wanted to mount a crud catcher.
Still love it though.

Purposeful but not particularly pretty on its own merits.
