  • Is there a particular advantage to having the DT cable stops up on the head tube? Thin walled tubes compared with the HT?

Usually when they're higher they flow in a similar line as DT cable stops, but these have more of an angle. Is that just a CX thing to give more wheel clearance?

Mine. And i have honestly no idea why they put the stops there. The angle of the wire is kind of annoying.

it looks like less dt clearance if anything, im sure it'd fit pretty big tyres if the cables werent sticking out so much

It's not really an issue clearance wise, but looks weird :)

Cleaner look to the downtube; plus, having a longer open section of inner cable and shorter sections of outer cable improves shifting a bit. They look unusually low on the HT though.

    ht stops eliminate cable rub

    Cable rub is the reason

  • ^ Nah... Mega bling fork, nice frame - Together they don't gel.

The Merckx would be better suited with a glossy finish EC90 fork.

    Give me the Enve :-)

  • Stem looks like it was borrowed.

DT clearance asking for a kerb sandwich.

    Not for me.

    Kerbs?

    It's a track bike.

  • you think they don't have kerbs on the track

  • That Merckx frame... oooff.. ..does mos def need different fork though.

  • Controversial? Probably. I Don't care, looks like great fun and I love it. Orłowski in Odessa.

and higher res one and two

Oh sorry, forgot I was in velodrome.

  • It's a very nice hybrid, very British as they also don't believe in rack and mudguard too.

  • It's a Record pedal.

I have some of these going if anyone is interested

  • I don't like the chromed fork crown, but other than that, it's lovely balanced.

  • Is that a Q-ring as well, or are my eyes deceiving me?

  • Looks like a Osymmetric jobbie.

  • tech as fuck

    *thumbs up

  • Why are people not using thick thin chainrings on cross bikes when they only have one chainring? It would remove the need for a chain catcher (clearly would not work with the non circular chainring above).

Or are they waiting for clutch rear mechs for road bikes?

  • Is it me or is this page a big pile of meh?

  • Is it me or is this page a big pile of me?

You are a Scoble friendly bike?

  • amazing

There's a chainring designed specifically to reduced that likelihood of the chain jumping, but also increase the likelihood of getting gored by it.

All they did is make the teeth taller.

  • The chain keeper on the purple bike looks very neat.

  • would

  • Might be photgraphy (filter) (minibiek) but that looks good for a modern Dale. Satin. Prob black in reality?

  • would

Colleague of mine have the same bike, actually race it, got crashed, repaired*, and still raced it.

    It is an awesome bike;
