^^^ Hushovd's Paris-Roubaix R3 being exhibit A. In any case, the seat stays are probably the area of the frame you most want to flex.
When my mate recieved my BMC GF01. He showed me a youtube clip of it set up at a bike show. They had it clamped into a machine that pushed the back wheel up and down while the rest of the bike was stationary. The travel was kinda crazy.
Cant find the clip now. Think it was french.

Yes, I've seen a similar video of Cervélo testing an R frame like that. The seat stays bent into a proper crescent shape.

I still suspect a little bit of MAMIL marketing here. If your reach is long'n'low. There really should'nt be much weight on the saddle anyway. IMHO etc.

As Hugo mentioned, seatpost flex is probably much more significant.

Its always more about the complete package than one frame tweak. Soften a stiff frame with compliant carbon wheels and a 27.2 post. read an RKP post on the SLC-SL saying that with anything other than zipps it was far too stiff.

'Shed' as in built in one.
As opposed to an OEM with an industrial autoclave.
I know what a shed is.

No no no - I am busy building a ratty winter trainer out of one of these that I got on here from Jonny ex Snowy. I am trying to do it without spending any money and just using spares lying about the place - I do not need pics like these showing me what it could look like!

Cannondale went with a 25.4 seatpost on their new Synapse which felt great to ride.
Unfortunately it was ridiculously ugly.

My friend has one of those locked away in his garage and has for years, If I remember correctly it's got a crack in it.
Am I right in thinking people build these up as road or mtbs using the same frame? I don't think he's too precious about it, I could probably get it for a good price but not sure about repairing it as they are magnesium if I remember correctly

Good idea!
Whatever these things are and where they come from - why should they be in the porn thread ?!
