There is a non-machined verion (called the HED 3 Carbonlite)

Mostly they look nice and a few hardcore roadies probably go for the aero advantage.

my point is that it's a bit of a useless point to make about riding brakeless with machined sidewall, especially when there's a lot of rims that only come with machined sidewall, like the mavic.

I have a machined sidewall rims because it's cheaper than a non-machined one, plus the full carbon HED3 is tub-only, point still stand.

All of the above seems to be the group consensus on all things fixed, happily re-affirmed by hoards of people on a minute by minute basis like anyone really gives a monkeys. It's well boring.

I have sat here and thought about this, but there is absolutely no possible reason I can think of this how this could possibly happen, like I say it is just fucking perplexing, I am right now churning is a sea of cognitive dissonance.
