  • The Neilpryde is propped up against the wall yet still it's falling over. Proof it's in the wrong thread.

  • bar angle looks fine. That purple 'njs' bike sums up bike porn, all the right proportions, colours and photography. purrrrrrrrfect

Crank arms slightly off, valves not perfectly aligned and at the top (a point of contention), pedal bearings not tightened to make them stand upright.

    Rank amateurism.

    Anti

  • I quite like those Neil pryde frames - look great in the flesh.

  • Probably the fussiest poster in the porn thread trolling with landspeed luggage for a reaction? This thread has gone downhill.

Well it was really interesting discussing this with you, thanks.

    sheesh...

  • The blue grips on that purple Watanabe (I think?) matches the downtube decal perfectly. NJS builds don't usually impress me because they're really easy to do ($$$$ + the ability to order parts on the internet), but that one is perfect.

  • Nice trees.

  • ^^ could do with a more recent chainset rather than older wheels, but that's a peach, wow

  • Minus spacers, more pics/details

  • Nice transverse arch.

  • Minus hideous bent, broken looking seat post, more pics/details

    ...more like.

How wrong are thee, let me count the ways...

    Bartape
Short Thomson Layback. Never lay back without any visible straight section.
Faux-retro frame, distinctly modern cranks. Should have gone for Campagnolo aluminium cranks
Silver post and stem + black cranks and brifters + silver brakes + silver/black rear mech = make your bloody mind up.

  • Ha. I came here to post that.

  • Every bike on this page would be welcomed in HHSB, aside from the Hamster... You guys feeling alright?

    This x 1million

  • The Hillman is a track bike though. Look at gearing and the wheels.

  • custom steel with a huge setback :(

Nice wheels though - what rims are those?

Track or tarck, it's still rad.

Think I'll get some old school Zipp decals for my crabonz.

  • Rad Hillman is rad. Would ride.

Do not get. If custom frame, why not get angles right so you don't need fugly lay back seatpost that just doesn't work with lugged frame.

I agree with most of your points, but imo there is a definite theme on the colour of the parts - the bits which you can get in silver are silver. The finishing kit, hubs, spokes, etc. all tie together. Just having two black components doesn't ruin it.

I don't like Thomson stuff on road bikes, but I don't think there's anything wrong with having setback on a seatpost, regardless of whether it's a custom frame or not.

    Fixed lug angles?

They are Zipp 440's from 94

  • on the Hampsten? I don't think so

  • Probably hplus tb14 or something..
