Quality black chainrings age gracefully. Machined ones look gash from day one, and stay that way.
Improving my English:
Gracefully, adverb, derivate from graceful, adjective= covered with scratches and scuffs.
Duly noted!

The yellow tape on that Bottecchia is really bothering me, it doesn't sit right with the fluoro yellow on the frame. Otherwise, it's lovely.

Couldn't agree less. The frame's lovely, but the build makes me itch. Awful.

Agreed, especially that dynamo routing. It's making me grind my teeth.

Aye, no spacers, proper tyres, and different cranks and it'd be a lot better.

Lol! I noticed that after posting it and have to agree, that could have been done soo much better, and it's not like they couldn't, they did a damn good job on the frame, just looks sloppy and impatient.

Here's my two pennys worth on this thread - it's less bike porn and more photography porn.
Does anyone ride half these bike? or do they just keep them in showrooms, museums, sheds and polish them every second of the day. I can't take any bike seriously as porn unless it looks like its being ridden, like someone is getting the enjoyment out of it, like its being lived. Isn't that what its all about bike = man+machine in symbiotic relationship?

You can't appreciate a bike unless it's been ridden, I can't appreciate a bike unless the valves are aligned properly. It's the variety of life that gives it its flavour, non?
