I don't know how they work, if that's what you're asking. Something to do with South and North...

Loads, all over every cycling site today.

makes the entry angle of the cable into the rear mech flatter and supposedly improves performance
This.
The cable goes into the rear derailleur at a more horizontal angle compared to Shimano, Campy, etc.

Nice to know if you don’t use a torque tool to tighten the bolts.

Is it me or does Tom look far too big for that bike ?
Didn't stop him winning the Tour of Flanders I suppose !
It's a wide angle lens. That's all.
The Pros ride small frames thing I don't see any evidence of. As noca says there's a variety of preferences but if you look at the amount of seatpost showing on most pro's bikes it's normal.
The reason for the long stem is the hours in the saddle they do the flexibility that comes with that, and that they're seeking an aero position.
There's some good insights here.

Debate on prior page as regards whether Boonen's bike is 'the right fit' on the basis of a couple of photos is pure lulz.

"Nigels Scapin Ivor. The only twin mold monocoque frame with the ability to customise the geometry. Beautiful"
Far too modern for me to know what's that's all about, but I do like it.

Looks like it should have newer shifters.

this. Someone should send MR Boonen that page - he could learn a lot :)

Obviously Boonen and the people around him are not capable of choosing a bike with the right fit. If only Boonen would spend a little less time pedalling about Europe, and pay some real attention to this forum, I recon he could soon make a name for himself in pro cycling. Such a shame to see a wasted talent like that, If only he would learn.

If only he would lean.
I'm sorry, but that advice just isn't sound.

just $10k
$10k for the frameset.... That build must be pushing $20k...
Contact points - frame size is such a diminished view.
