How does anyone know what's repost and what isn't in this thread? Everything looks the same, boring vintage road bikes.

...by using some some fucking search with the filename before you drop it in.
How do the geeks know if it's a repost? By being geeky I guess.

Does seem to gravitate towards vintage porn. Should really have a lot more hair in certain areas.

They all look different. You can tell though that if they're posted by nighthunte29 it's a repost.

Robin Mather's are some of the classiest frames around, true bike porn.

The differences between the two mechs that I know are :
Carbon inner cage and body inner link plate
Additional body machining
Aluminium body pivot pins
Aluminium adjustment screws
Titanium cable fixing screws and pulley screws
Blackbox pulleys
and the Titanium spring in the body ..And one will work without fault for many a mile and one is an expensive way to make a good design fragile. Very nice bit of modification but I struggle to see the point.

If experimentalists didn't push the boundaries, progress would be much slower. Gunter Mai's <3kg bike seems extreme now, but when I was a boy <7kg was at the edge of current technology, now you can buy moderately priced off-the-peg bikes which will take years of hammering at that weight.

That Mather is pure class. Rare that I see something on here that gets more than a cursory glance, but that certainly does. Good choice of hubs too. :)

A valid point. Thanks.

I hadn't spotted it last time I visited his site so perhaps. I think he has some chunky city bikes he's been building too (not yet on the site).
Have you seen this one? I'd love to have something like that built, perfect for my later years

For clown bikes, sure.
I was thinking it should be lined up with the angle of your forearm (when your using it). Will someone please think of the tenderns?
It's steeper than that at the mo' no?
