how do you break a bike a year? too much RAW power?
more likely?Well, I do weigh 17stone! :P
Snapped the headtube where it meets the top and down on a bmx, got mucho pissed off with a bike yrs ago and threw it and that trashed the frame (cheap piece of shit), my Specialized FSR got totaled the same accident as my ankle and shoulder did doing DH (that was expensive), my one and only road bike (2nd hand alloy raleigh I think) I noticed cracks starting to show at head tube after 6 months, an old no brand mtb ended under someones car (luckily I went the other way, but still broke collar bone and 2 ribs), and the rest were stolen including Specialized Stumpjumper framed last build.
Most of the breakages weren't down to just weight though, there was also the complete lack of skill to factor in too! -

That is nice indeed. I wasn't convinced by the idea of 29ers at first, but I would like to give one a go now.

beautiful, but dropouts do look madly fragile for any bike.

This is pretty awesome, for a conversion with a funny saddle and non matching wheels...

Was blown away by this last year, not sure if it's posted here already. Belongs to a guy called Benny in Munich. Lots of info out there by googling those details.

Looks all right, certainly not porn yet. Stickers of the wheels would make them look more matching. Other seat, bartape etc.

i hear you.. but there's not many circa 1987 - 88 frames that look this good. The set up back then was even more extreme sometimes with a dinky 24" on the front. Also bars below headtube?!? porn.
