Wait a minute... Lightweight is a real brand for rims? For some reason, I thought people on here were just taking the piss on the horrible fonts those modern brands are using and abusing for their logos. Really thought it was just some photoshopped images people were posting when having a laugh at that.

Have to say : yes, it actually fits nice with the name of the brand...
It will go nicely with a SpinFast crankset, some QuickStop brakes and also a ComfyBum saddle.

Wow I didn't mean to come off as aggressive as I might have, I'm sorry.
It does indeed fit the name and philosophy of the brand, definitely up there in my personal top something of cycling logos. -
• #55407
No worries I didn't mean to sound aggressive either. I have no knowledge of how the product is itself, so that was just a basic logo criticism. (And then it is just a personal opinion)

It's been discussed. Horrendous "logo".

less is more, down with logos.

I think mdcc_tester may have something to tell you imbeciles about the comparative weight of the Lightweight logo in a moment...

It is fast. Seems weird to say given that it can only go as fast as my legs can power. But it just begs to go fast. Effortless to pedal. Good cruising speed. And the couple of sprints I played with knocked 68KMPH with hardly any effort or any frame twitching..
I haven't ridden it with the Zipps yet either.
it's also very comfortable..
Would you say it's laterally stiff, but yet vertically compliant ?

inverse shim
Negative shim.

• #55421
I prefer the inverse one, used in an admittedly irregular manner.
More force required, but much cheaper than renting Heart Of Gold. -

ot: why do people run the cable along the back of the handle bars under the tape (and not the conventional front)? looks uncomfy, just where your palm sits.
-
• #55423
Because it gives you a sort of 'Aero-flat' surface, to rest the palm of your hand. Much like a plane wing I suppose. And your fingers will wrap around the round section. Makes perfect sense to me.

• #55424
oh ok, never thought of it that way, might try it on a build i'm finishing today.

And funnily enough, just turned on discovery turbo and they're doing a full restoration on one....
