MacReady repped for taking us back to square 1!

Another repost but that Sachs red/white colour scheme is lovely.

Forks in the seat tube? Another frame designer is doing it wrong.

• #53857
massive aero benefits to putting them there though. trust me.

.
Yes, would definitely have been better to have just posted the frame, as the build is pretty rank.
I never mentioned the build though. Posting the fully built frame was the only picture that featured the forks... there.

bye now. You are now free to continue tearing down the work of engineers and craftsmen that did all the thinking and work for you, save the bastardizing you so idolize that so aptly describes you.
Dave
Albuquerque, NM USA (proudly)Fuck off Dave.

In case you hadn't noticed, this thread has no fucking etiquette!
Allow me to disagree Sir. Obviously you have a different view of things, at least different from mine.
Why should Dave porter be treated any different from any other member? -

Was the original posting of this a joke meant to sort the wheat from the chaff?
I'm 99.99% sure it was, but I have plucked up the courage to ask.

In case you hadn't noticed, this thread has no fucking etiquette!
You're not the judge, jury, and executioner, Dave Porter wasn't on trial, and he wasn't trying to sell his frames to anybody.
He had no need to back up his claims any more than he did.
You didn't treat him with respect right from the start.
You were in attack mode as soon as he began to defend his design.
Read your responses to everything he said...that wasn't respect or etiquette.Every frame, component, and bike builder on the market makes claims about their kit being strongest, fastest, lightest, whatever...they don't have to come and run their facts and figures past mdcc tester before people are allowed to like them, and their claims are also largely unsubstantiated.
Even if they showed facts and figures, it would mean nothing to most people. The guy designed a bike, the bike was ridden, people broke some records on them...there is no need to then produce lab work results to go with it just to please a couple of people on LFGSS.
Likewise, there is no need for people on LFGSS to cross examine everything he then says because he chooses not to.A big part of treating people with respect is knowing when to shut the fuck up and realize that you've said enough.
That point for me is right here.
You might have had a point if half the forum had been posting on this thread about how they liked the bike/idea. It was posted on here twice, by noobs I believe, and shot down both times by people saying they didn't like it.
Allow me to disagree Sir. Obviously you have a different view of things, at least different from mine.
Why should Dave porter be treated any different from any other member?^^^This. Though Brooklyn/Joe/Ken/Ged should probably be added to the list of those with special dispensation too.

Last year I invited Richard Sachs to the forum after an appropriate thread popped up.
He responded to say he'd take a look around but I don't think he ever joined.
I ofter wondered if he was here would he receive the respect due a revered master builder, or if everyone who knows more about frame design than him would say some stupid shit to make him leave.
I could only imagine the horror if the internets was around when Obree was building Old Faithful.
You're doing it wrong Obree, you should be using an OTP Giant and Aksiums
