Don't know where to ask other than here - are there any bullhorns that can look decent with a 20 year frame or older?

But to answer your question, Cinelli #62 aka LA84 were on my 1991 build (still are for that matter)

Mavic ones were made from '86 to '90 according to velobase. That's older than 20 years and they look decent as far as bullhorns go.

. Highpath used to suggest no more than 1.07 for fixed, so something that felt like a 53t mid stroke and 50t in the dead zone.
That sounds very much like the variation Rotor qoute. So I concede that it might work after all. But it doesnt sound like a nice set-up to run fixed. Especially when you consider the fixed drivechain automatically aids you in the dead zone anyway. If the effect is small on a geared bike, it must be tiny on a fixed one.
(FWIW I wanted the 3D cranks firstly, and bought the q-rings as an interesting addition)

LA84 are seriously nice. I'd like some for the Bob, if I could justify the small upgrade.

get yourself some rotor RS4X - same function as the egg ring but you can run the fixed with no change in chainlength

No, get one of these:
Pedalling in circles is for squares.Note the incredible Rotor marketing bullshit:
The benefits provided by Rotor System have been shown in scientific studies to demonstrate a real increase in power of up to 16%
Let's give them the benefit of the doubt that 'up to' is double the typical gain, then 8% more power translates to 2% more speed. I suggest that this rider should buy himself some Rotor cranks before everybody else cottons on, because he'd have won the Tour:
52. CHARTEAU Anthony TEAM EUROPCAR 87h 56' 11" + 1h 43' 49"
just read that highpath thing. wow. next question........ where can i get one.
