Some tight pyjamas and a balloon animal on his head all the head protection an o.g. needs. Is the fat bloke there as some kind of penalty for the rider up front? Maybe he was caught doing epo or something so they made him carry around the fat git on the back to compensate.

The Niner has got to be one of the nicest hybrids out there.
But I'm not really sure why they're running such chunky tyres. Something like a 28c or 32c Racelite Hardcase would probably make more sense.

WTF? It's not for riding to work, you know.

Difficult to mount a front rack on it though :(

Appart from the pink bits and weird looking grips, this is the best looking mountain bike I think I've seen here.

Sure, thing, however you want to justify it.
Giant have been doing it for ages:

Well, those Gothic arches have stood for nearly a thousand years, which bodes well for longevity of the Niner fork. That and the demo they posted showing how tough it is

This. It's 100% MTB. I don't think i've seen an SS hybrid, as they're usually to cater for city folk who love their gears.
Also, commuting to work on a geat that spinny would certainly work up a sweat!
2 of my "hybrids" shown below ;)

How do you find the sus-seatpost?
-
• #50198
It works really well, great for ironing out the little bumps and roots at speed when you're in the saddle, I use the bike for endurance racing and riding fully rigid with the standard seatpost didn't seem like a great idea.

Giant have been doing it for ages:Putting skinny tyres on a mountian bike to commute, is'nt something Giant can claim fame to. Swapping the 26" wheels for narrow rimmed 700c was just the next logical step. Hello hybrid.
Exactly what separates a hybrid from a 29er, could actually be as simple as tyre choice.

I suddenly feel like I have an expensive fat tyred hybrid in the workroom. Cheers Hugo :(
Okay, hands up who thought that was a trike at first...
