Is it just me that finds most TT bikes pretty unattractive? ^ included...

Elbow pad risers on Angels look silly and make them uncomfortable. It would probably be nicer to ride with more headset spacers instead.

what is the function of the front derailleur here? is it common practice to remove a chainring to save weight depending on course or something?!

fair comments about the 'cockpit', i just have a thing for elegant, traditional frames being used for racing. A refreshing change from all the fat tubed carbon you get on most TT machines these days.

If it had trackends i'd have it in a shot.

Wouldn't be too difficult to adjust the frame for some interchangeable dropouts but then it would ruin the value of the frame.

I meant the fact that it's a ex Brite frame. Donohue were good frame builders but their organisation was shite.

Looks like it should be OK, and bikes of that pattern have consistently passed scrutineering. There is an 80mm tube profile + 80mm fillet at each joint, and a quick and dirty sketch shows how the lines can be drawn under those rules to enclose the profile of that frame
