  • Shite bikes.. Nuknow is the only one with good taste

  • My dislike of the radial lacing of 32, and up, spoked wheels, grows by the day.

  • The more I look at that Julie Racing Design thing the more I like it. Not sure they should have gone with that shade of red for the spokes, even if they did want a contrast to the all-black look.

And SF I'm with you on the radial thing. For me the biggest thing is the asymmetry with the rear.

  • Not that one I know, but they seem to have done a couple with carbon seat tubes. I guess the logic is weight + a bit of comfort in a part of the frame that doesn't take as much pain?

Is it common in other custom MTB frames?

I havent seen it much. I would say it was done firstly to look cool (which it does), and secondly to save weight.

MrStrong has done something similar (yes this is a repost, I posted it previously)

  • That font is rubbish.

  • ^^^^^^^^^^re the pista concept.

I know it's silly, but it kinda always bugs me when ppl use those thomson stems with forks with an alu stearer. I always think they should paint the stearer or something. I just can't stop focusing on that... which is a shame because it's such a nice bike.

(or maybe Bianchi should just stop being cheap and provide a fork with a carbon stearer)

hah! i thought it was just me and my OCD! have the same problem myself, actually on my bike. irritates the the shit out of me. so much so that i dismantled my bike yesterday and like a mild dose of gonorrhea, am havin' it sorted...

it's not particularly - i used to have a frame with a carbon seat-tube and top-tube a long time ago it saved very little weight but it looked badass
(not readers wives if it left my company long ago...

  • ^For Sale.

  • Not even to replace your l..visp?

  • not with that thing

  • not with that thing

You're right, your Visp looks much better.

  • I couldnt find a thread except for one for sale.

Search for posts, not threads. I found several relevant references.

  • Saw this thread and thought I'd drop this on the thread, Guenni, lightest bike in the world. 3195 grams or 7 lbs.

Already posted many times, plus they are anti porn anyway. Please read the whole thread before posting again to avoid further embarrassment, otherwise we might take even more of a dislike to you than we already have.

    The owner is, not Flickr.

Surely you could argue that (much like 32 spokes F&R being over kill for the front wheel) having a front wheel with three cross pattern is over kill- if it's not being used as a disk brake, no?

  • why does it have forward facing dropouts?
