Are those rims carbon?
Dont people need to use cork pads on carbon?
Would cork pads work on muddy cross rims?
Don't know if those ones are carbon but lots of top level or rich cross racers use carbon deep rims.
Don't know what pads they use but guess they must work well enough as they race on them.

Welding fail on the litespeed. Plus numerous reports of broken frame since the Lynskeys sold it.
The weilding is chunky around the headtube to maximise the effect of the wrapping of the top and down tubes. Its an amazing frame from a bike nerds standpoint.

The forks look post crashed I think.
I suspect they are quite heavy framesets.
