I would imagine that the disck rotor and the freewhell are spaced the same
Quite possibly. In which case why have different flange diameters at all.
Although I suspect the disc side is flater. You could flaten the side with the screw on free wheel to match. But you'd lose more in bracing angle, then you would gain in even tension (total guess).
Its probably marketed as providing a stiffer build with regards to braking. But I'm not sure I buy it.

Discs brakes innit.
Yes. EBBs solve this issue, but there are possible downsides, such as squeek development. Paragon drop outs also solve it, but are chunky and far less clean looking.
Providing there's zero flex. I love the idea.

what abouth smaller flange to left space to the brake caliper?
just a thought -

how thay can be one piece and still slidding?
surelly there are two pieces, one that moves inside the other -

I was thinking about the Moots YBB rear suspension system. That works.

I know nothing about MTBs but that is the best looking I've ever seen.

Moots = near automatic porn.
I posted it because of the small amount of rear suspension, requiring the chainstays to flex, though. As an example of clever Ti usage in a smiilar vain to Nuknows post.

I saw what you did there. I liked it.

TBH, much as I'm drawn to it. It's almost anti.
Almost Anti?...
+1 to being almost anti.
Visually; cranks, bar tape, and graphics.
I'm sure the owner likes it, but its just not quite there.

Porn??
-
• #36143
Does it have a purpose? If not straight in the antiporn bin...
-
• #36144
It's purpose is to be ridden and enjoyed. Like any other bicycle.

i have that wheelset and they are the stiffest wheels i have owned, - stiffer than my old hope biguns and that were massive! they aren't however very porn worthy light yes but the bearings are tiny so don't last as long as they should, pretty major design flaw imho - will go back to king for my next mtb wheelset

Erm. No room for big bearings?
I still feel the larger flange is on the wrong side, as it is on the non-disc tune SS hubs. Those behind both hubs know more then me, so there must be a resoning behind it.

I see they've flipped the top tube. (Back to the same as the Vigorelli) Not into the paint either.
