Is that saddle nose support there because the stem and top-tube are too long, or is there another reason?

Look at this, just fucking look at this;
Columbus XCR tubing, fuck yeah;

When you're doing 40mph+ through banked corners behind a moto while perched on the nose of the saddle, the last thing you want is for it to slip its mooring on the seat post.

Stainless steel iframes are nearly always porn. I'd go with a Pegoretti myself

I am quite fond of a bit of polished stainless steel, like this Roberts 953 downtube:

New 8-spoke Lightweight front, since the old 12-spoke one was clearly massively overbuilt.

Yeah, but in theory the rear has shite loads of spokes (albeit glued together). So swings and roundabouts innit.

That would soooo fold in half if I sat on it.

i can't get over how amateurish the font is that Lightweight insist on using on their rims. Seriously. What is it, just lifted off Microsoft Word? And to think they probably spent thousands of dorrahs trying to find "just the right logo to project our brand image". Sweet Jesus.
steps off soapbox
sexy bike though.

• #35272
I am guessing the people who are buying the Lightweight wheels are happy to put up with the font, although it would be good if there was an option to order them without logo's (maybe there is?)

Really, really light swings and roundabouts.

what kind of bike is that lightweight thing anyways

it's what hipsters will be rollin next season.
This is true (the weight thing, not the shit thing. I hope). Especially for track frames where weight is less important. More material does not always mean stronger though, and certainly doesnt mean high end. Its often the butting and working of metals that dictates the price not the metal itself.
Having said that. I commute on a heavy as hell cheap alu frame, and it rides quite well. So I should'nt knock it.
