What made you decide to try and grow a goatee??

It's the only style of beard I CAN grow at the moment!

What you need is a cowboy hat and you're sorted.

^ am i correct in thinking this actual conversation took place at 4am in UK?

Probably. Max is a freaking vampire these days and Ed is somewhat of an insomniac at times.

And the Makino is gorgeous. The BEST part is the flame paint. Seriously. What is wrong with you people?
-
• #30733
I put a bid in. Chances are I'll be outbid... but hawking eBay for bargains is fun. I never win anything... but the day I do it will be such a bargain. Imagine that Makino frame for less than £500!

I met the guy who makes these at the White Bike ride in Glasgow at few weeks ago. I saw the bike in the flesh and it's even better than in the photographs.
There's more about the bike here.
We had these at work, they are horrendous. I work at a bicycle hire shop, and the quality of components just isn't up to it. Seems to weigh quite alot too, for somthing so simple..

You gotta be doing something pretty wrong to break a Thomson, its the only seatpost i'd use on a DH bike. I worked in a specialist MTB shop for 5 years, never seen one break. I'd say the clamping mechanism is the best out there, in terms of strength + adjust-ability.

Nice bumping into you today, Ed.
