However, falling off a bike and landing on grass is no different than a football player falling, a cross country runner falling etc, etc,. yet no-one would suggest they wear helmets (or maybe they would?)
As long as the football player or runner is doing 30mph+ in the sprint and starts off with their CG elevated a foot above the normal standing position, then yes, they're exactly the same.

I'm surprised there's no such thing as a chin protector. The most scary parts of our own bikes are stems...
-
• #25737
In that case a toque would be more helpful than a chin protector (isn't this the porn thread?).

Yes they may be slower but they are more likely to actually fall (or be tripped) Combined with the number of footballers against number of grass track cyclists and potential number of head injuries etc, etc,.
I reckon you would be hard pushed to find any discussion on helmets in any football forums...
-
• #25739
I guess there are discussions on soccer forums like that, when Sunday newspapers write about it.
Doctors call for headgear in football to stop brain injuries...

That isn't porn, it's ugly as sin, the colour is crap, the components are shoddy, the toe clips don't even have straps. Christ... talk about anti-porn.

It's like a supermodel with a lazy eye. No matter how hot she is, that little thing ruins it.
What frame is that anyway? Agreed the frame is amazing, wheels aint. -

That is Porn.
To the fullest extent.Black spokes don't look too bad, kinda go with the black accent of the bike.
