did anybody see the short documentary or was it a news clip about a guy who was trying to bring cycling to parts of africa to see if they could compete at the highest level
was quite interesting

i dunno why there aren't more black track sprinters .. i reckon they'd make exceptional racers.

I have a mate who was at Uni in America - he told me that because of the way sports are prioritised in America, in all likelyhood the worlds fastest sprinter probably plays NFL, as a lot of those who star in track and field are those who have not made it at American Football - i would have thought track cycling is way down the list of sports people would consider trying their hand at.

Also more drugs in NFL...

Impressive fellow this Nelson Vails, id heard of him before and his hard working ethic.

But in pictures id seen of him he looked of very average build, but I guess at some point in his career he decided to Bulk Up, and I guess thats what this frame was for.

By aged 19 Vails was married and had children of his own; he had to make a living. His natural choice was that of a bike messenger in Manhattan. Bike messengers carry everything from letters and jewels to wedding gowns and baseball uniforms, all over the town, at terrifying speed.

One would think an eight or ten hour shift as a bike messenger would be training enough, but Nelson would ride 40 miles in the morning before work, and he would also ride on weekends
