^Frame looks too small and the saddle looks like it could cause some serious gooch issues.
Clearances maybe too tight and horribly neutral colour.

sadly there isnt a picture of the complete bicycle. the poster says it was made for nelson vails.
Built for Nelson Vails (I'm assuming by Yamaguchi), and in pretty much flawless condition when it was purchased. I remember seeing this frame on the internet a few years back, and i was blown away by it then, but seeing it in person was unbelievable. After riding it, i have to say the frame's as stiff, if not stiffer than youd already assume just looking at it. wicked acceleration. no noodle. one of a kind.

thats so granddaddypoop style---
lol, what's that supposed to mean?!

Rigidity I imagine.
Yeah, in a direction you don't want it.
Could also be some kind of fender, but ideally it goed a bit more backwards to keep your back dry.
Also, to make it easier to convert it to a URT-style suspension frame.
Pure aesthetics, I think, as often on san-Rensho (don't say "three rensho"!). -

If it was built for Nelson Vails, then one assumes it was built to be stiff, rather than aesthetically pleasing.

also has a couple of extra small tubes in the BB shell, joining the down tube, I suppose also for more rigidity
