  • ^Frame looks too small and the saddle looks like it could cause some serious gooch issues.

Clearances maybe too tight and horribly neutral colour.

  • Funny you should post that, just what I have in mind for the Batavus.

  • Really?

  • horrendous conversion alert.

  • yeh, not a winner, sorry

  • Really?

looks like the best mtb conversion i have seen in a while...also looks like it wasn't too expensive

  • So is this what´s waiting around the corner for 2010? Mtb conversions?
    [/omfg]

  • nah, i heard it was all about Recumbant conversions.

  • steel cranks too.

  • So i´m going Aero

    calm down dear

does the bike look nice... yes

not is the bike 100% perfect in condition with original forks and decals and no rust spots or dirt on the tyres with 3x wheels that have the same length valves on the tubes with matching dustcaps.

its bikeporn not bike ultimate scrutiny

  • sadly there isnt a picture of the complete bicycle. the poster says it was made for nelson vails.

Built for Nelson Vails (I'm assuming by Yamaguchi), and in pretty much flawless condition when it was purchased. I remember seeing this frame on the internet a few years back, and i was blown away by it then, but seeing it in person was unbelievable. After riding it, i have to say the frame's as stiff, if not stiffer than youd already assume just looking at it. wicked acceleration. no noodle. one of a kind.

  • what's with the giant sticker??

  • ^^ a sponsor maybe

  • double rear bridge? looks trippy

  • i am loving the downtube junction on that^^^

  • whats the function of the tube from the rear bridge to the bb?

  • Rigidity I imagine.

  • thats so granddaddypoop style---

lol, what's that supposed to mean?!

  • Rigidity I imagine.

Yeah, in a direction you don't want it.
Could also be some kind of fender, but ideally it goed a bit more backwards to keep your back dry.
Also, to make it easier to convert it to a URT-style suspension frame.
Pure aesthetics, I think, as often on san-Rensho (don't say "three rensho"!).

  • If it was built for Nelson Vails, then one assumes it was built to be stiff, rather than aesthetically pleasing.

why in the direcction ytou dont want it?

also has a couple of extra small tubes in the BB shell, joining the down tube, I suppose also for more rigidity

  • no probs, kid

So cheeky, it can only be HOT. A real "head turner"
