Never going to happen. The only racing vehicles which have more power than they know what to do with are dragsters (bikes and cars), and not coincidentally that's also the only place you see belt drives in use for racing, as supercharger drives on cars and primary drives on bikes. Everything else uses chains because the hysteresis loss in a belt drive is power lost which you can't afford.

Ah that was you on friday? sorry i was so brief, i was so excited to take it on its maiden voyage.
i was looking for something to put some colour onto it, but i was out of patience
No problem, I'd like to get another look at it sometime soon. I just spoke to Justin, about holding on to his last Ti fork for me. I'd like to say you cold try mine but not sure what's going to happen....

If that bike had a rohloff I'd definitely say it was total porn. But minus that point, it's 95% porn.

Anyone know what selle italia this is? -it's not the normal turbo...
-
• #21959
new turbo.[strike]or maybe not[/strike]
-
• #21960
I really can't remember this being a repost... anyway worth the looks.
-
• #21961
New Turbo is exactly the same shape as the old one
the chamfer on the underside of the nose on that Alan suggests Turbomatic, although I don't think it is one
-
• #21962
Flip the stem and lose half the spacers, then I'd ride it.

A turbo shot with a long lens?

Don't agree.
Upward pointing stems are not porn, maybe the right stem on a BT or so.
On the majority of bikes it doesn't look right.
This amount of spacers is just acceptable. But if we're just talking about porn (no this bike is certainly no porn IMO), there should be less spacers. Def. no rising stem.
Perhaps a high concave upper part of the headset would be the right solution. Also to make a smoother transition from headtube to spacers stack.
Oh, and the stem is too short to make it porn. -

Upward pointing stems are pro
Fixed

Shame about the ourys.
-
• #21970
Even though i ride them myself, i still think risers look all wrong on a classic track bike
-
• #21971
Agreed. Needs drops.
-
• #21972
Shame about the ourys.
what the shit is wrong with them... ourys rock man, they're big and chunky and grippable unlike those appalling spindly grips that have doing the rounds ever since oury went out of favour... i'm so sad you hate ourys everyone. and that black bike up the top of this page is disgusting, looks like a constipated lump of coal. nagasawa rules!
-
• #21973
Agreed. Needs drops.
until you remember that drops are impossible to ride without brakes, i don't care what anyone says it's true. and furthermore you're wrong it doesn't it looks geat with ourys, they are the best grips pound for pound. anyone disagrees is a willy wonker.
-
• #21974
calm down, dear!
It's all good for riding around the town, but that's not what the porn is about (you know, like the real porn - not everyone has 12" dick)
-
• #21975
until you remember that drops are impossible to ride without brakes.
No it's not.
also it's personal preference, other says drop because they like to have drop, you prefer it to have oury, which is fine.
omg
