Looks like the frame was designed for 19-21mm tyres (and tubs), so maybe going a bit thinner would give a more agreeable clearance - regardless, i love that bike!

WARNING!
lock ring not installed -
• #21329
You don't need a lock ring for track riding...
-
• #21330
umm....sure, maybe you don't 'need' a lockring, but in my experience they certainly are handy...
besides, why fore go a lockring? to speed up cog changes? -

That Cinelli lo-pro is anti
yes it is.
-
• #21332
There's absolutely no reason to have one on a track, most track riders just dont use one (IME) - especially if they're from the old school!
-
• #21333
depends....most events involve other bikes.....meaning you need to control your speed at times

There's no mud on a track.
some hipster will probably ride it on the road. i wonder if you the friction on the tyre/downtube when they ride into a pothole would be enough to throw them over the handlebars?

sometimes for others its better to maintain a constant speed out of danger on a track rather than being able to make sudden and rash stops (hence no brakes). dave creasey who has been at herne hill since it was built (that bits a joke) prefers no lock ring.
mr smyth that sounds like wishful thinking :-I
sorry if i missed something.

Sheriff replica by somebody who has only ever seen a low resolution picture of a real one? I don't get the obsession with Sheriff Stars (and I have them on my lo-pro), but I get even less why anybody would want a modern hub pretending to be one very badly. The elegant NDS dust cap is at least as great a part of the Sheriff Star aesthetic as the star itself, surely?
+2
I don't get it either.

Anybody know what rims these are? Had a look on the njs-keirin.blogspot.com but there are just more pics of the bike. Don't look deep enough to be velocitys

And you want me to believe, that it will be ridden on the track? :-D
How many track frames from Shoreditch ever been close to Herne Hill (apart from a visit to the dealer in Brixton)? -

They could be velocity fusion rims..?
-
• #21348
They are Velocity Aeroheads.
Ed had one on his Pista.
Interesting fact... they're used in Aerospokes - set into the plastic !!!

• #21349
I had the Velocity Fusion on the Pista, they're pretty good to be honest, doesn't have hipster tax on them last time I paid for it (£25).

I really want a pair...
Conti Gatorskins = Pave tyre. Hit a cobble on that and the fork will bend back enough to make the tyre hit the down tube.
