  • Sure, it would be no good in scotland. But I bet it would be a nice ride here.
    .

I was thinking Slickrock would be about the only place where the clearances would work, but you don't need (or want) Racing Ralphs at Slickrock

  • Explain please. Just because its pretty doesn't mean it's not functional.

There's just simply no reason to build a mountainbike with clearances that tight.
Putting some decent mud room in there would not have ruined the aesthetics of the bike, infact quite the opposite imo because as soon as i look at that bike i see tight clearances which will clog up real quick and so it looks like a bike that will not work.
Apart from the mudroom issue id also be worried about riding a rigid large wheeled bike offroad if there was that little room for the wheel to get out of true.
Give one of those wheels a bit of a knock on a fast descent and by the time you've reached the bottom of the hill you'll be halfway through a chainstay.

  • good evening miss!

  • I'm loving this. I got sent a whole load of images from the TDF and this was among them. The rest of them are here if you are interested; http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/07/2009_tour_de_france.html![](file:///Users/yardersmj/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/moz-screenshot-2.png)

  • quite a few nice bikes! impressed, although wtf is that purple number?!

  • Ooh my a new Sheriff-style hubs? that does look lovely, it better be reasonably priced and as good as those System EX hubs.

  • Bugger, and there was me trying to be 'down with yo yoof'

This one from mtbr.com looks fun.

I thought Matt chester had stopped making frames now?
I'm guessing it's just an older one with a vicious cycles/jones fat fork on?
I always liked Matt chesters approach to fixed off road bikes.

  • Just checked his blog...seems he's still working...good to hear.
