Not always true... John Tomac used to win everything on his Yeti (=porn) bike with drops (i think this is a replica rather than his actual bike)...

Just being a race winning bike doesn't necessarily make it porn, otherwise we'd have ten generations of dull Trek roadbikes on here. That Yeti is so fugly that only its palmares save it from being bounced straight to anti porn

I like the forks and of course the rear wheel.
Never much like Tomac though (the guy)

Don't agree either...Midge bars are great off road.

see, now on the other hand i don't like that...commencal's have never done it for me...and those roox chain tensioners are one of the worst products i've ever used.

well if you don't have softbox or anything, then yes it can be a bit hard, but hardly the hardest!
you can't put everything in a softbox ed! It would be more like a soft tent.
Plus softboxes don't really allow you that much control of light, they just give global soft light, no control of shadow etc blah blah..

There's almost no suspension frames that i find interesting anymore...i still have far more fun riding fully rigid MTB's than i ever have with suspension....reminds me of why MTB's were fun nearly 25yrs ago....bouncing around, feeling the terrain underneath you.....that sensation is softened too much with suspension for me.

I know how you feel, I only own one mtb at the moment and thats a ss DJ bike. I was going to go for fully rigid, but my wrists can't take that any more.. the times I've come up short on things or overshot gaps etc I've been REALLY glad to have that bit of travel on the front.. hard tail ftw
I would really love a full suss DH rig though, just for the fun of it.. I love technical steep downhill riding. I just can't justify owning one anymore when I live in London.

+lots
Saw a really comprehensive test of full sus vs hard tail recently (two near identical top end treks). The test showed that suspension allows you to get from A to B quicker. I thought yeah, but its the bit inbetween A and B thats all the fun.
Having said that the ability to ride a bit more all out, on decents, makes me lust over a full sus to compliment my full ridg.
While we're on the subject of MTN bikes. From MBTR forum...

Very similar set up on this orange one
I'd love a One9, pity they don't do the orange any more. Niner's own fork is lust too
