ezra does laminate the bars, 6-8 layers, strong as sh*t, mainly ash.

-
• #16481

Saw this on velospace. Really nice frame, but I feel like the kid killed it with the hubs and the handlebars.. what you guys think?
ugly saddle, ugly bars, ugly grips, ugly tyres, shit hubs, seatpost and rims-with the stickers are still on!
I usually dont get involved with these witch hunts but I love that frame and that is a shit build![/quote]

Ezra (of Fast Boy Cycles) hasn't had any reported failure with his wooden handlebar and his were quite wide, so I'm guessing that the bar picture above should be more than fine.
Just don't give it to James.
(image below is a repost);
Ezra's handlebars are absolutely gorgeous.
The pics of his not-quite-dressed wife don't hurt when you're browsing his Flickr site either... :^)

No endearing qualitys whatsoever. They've been discussed about a million times on here and you can definitely not polish this turd...any time! Unless it gets a respray or cover it in stickers
Really sloppy build too -

I know the general feeling towards arrospoks... but I own 2... so I need to be true to that fact, I like to admire set ups with the same 2 wheels.

minus the front 650 -

The only Cinelli Vigorelli build I like is this one;
At least it's not trying to be something, that would be a great frame to start with (wank saddle, wrong crankset etc. but you can see it being build nicely);
some Campagnolo OMEGA V to Phils, Sugino 75 with mighty chainring, different saddle (no idea what) and it'd look fantastic

nuknow the 2 you posted up brought tears to my eyes
-

these have been cut into that shape instead of formed so are much more likely to break along the wood grain.

...shit. i look back now and don´t feel proud, but the intentions were great back then. it was hours ago, doesn´t count.

^ these however look like a hacked up piece of poo.
it's a wank build, it's those rare frame that somehow even with a decent component, it made them look wank.
