Wow! You mean people actually ride their bikes every day? Leave off....
- Frame geometry fail - seat tube....I know it's a sprint frame but still
- Black spoke fail, especially on silver hubs and none black rims
- Crank and chainring combination fail
- Black chainring doesn't go with anything, other than the spokes, which is a fail in itself - see # 2
- Silver crankbolt on black chainring fail
- Non Sugino crankbolt fail
- Rim colour fail
- Gold chain fail
- Single strap fail
- Ugly tyres fail
Overall a big ugly fail imo, sorry
haha nice list, but im not amused
it's a nice bike, full stop.
stop living within the rules that others have dictated to you years ago, stop with the restrictions that came from the past, just look at it and think of it as a modern bike, because it is one.
It's hard to take it in now, but in ten (or even hundred) years, I assure you these bikes will come back as a classic look...
yes, velocity's, h+sons deep drop stems sugino cranks and trubo saddles, the whole hipster shebangNope, frame isn't any more, and neither are the tyres.
He bought the frame a few years ago when it was still njs approved.

"Everything apart from the saddle and rims is njs genuine japanese track parts."
does he race on the keirin circuit when not fixing bikes?
it epitomises the hipster zeitgeist but it's not modern. it's just a track bike with a gopping colour scheme .

I have some appreciation for that vivalo but wouldn't want to own it, not porn in my eyes - not anti, but way short of porn I reckon.
that moser is nuts (and I think a repost..?), what size wheel is that?

It was custom made, along with the tubulars to fit. Something like 1m diameter.

As for Campags?! Dio mia don't get me started on the emotional rollercoaster that are Italian parts..
My UltraTorques don't talk to me, but I think they're playing the strong silent type rather than being stand-offish. Much better than some squre taper jobs which seem to have something to say every half turn...

Ok Im confused... what are all the extra holes for in that green hub?
-
• #16186
shpoks,
i want t see it built up
-
• #16187
they don't look like extra holes as there are only 8 on the flanges, so i guess the spokes go from the middle and from the flange?

No, it isn't a nice bike full stop. That is your opinion. If others disagree with you, you have to deal with it.
To help you understand, here are some examples of things you can say about it that justify the 'full stop' suffix:
It is a bicycle. It is made of metal. It was built in Japan. It is multi-coloured. It has a chain. It is leaning against a wall. It is daytime in the picture.
Also, you're living within the rules that others have dictated to you by liking it simply because it's NJS, you fool!
Also also, how does your second statement make you right? He might have bought it when it was NJS, but it still doesnt change the fact that it isn't NJS now. Stop being stupid!

yes, velocity's, h+sons deep drop stems sugino cranks and trubo saddles, the whole hipster sheban. The thing is a lot of guys like you come off as arrogant pricks with your elitist attitude of "we are so far ahead of you guys.... because we have opened our minds to new possibilities and you just don't get it". Oh Please ......
I think the bike is a bit OTT and loud. I hope your mate enjoys it, but don't try to force your opinion on others because you are only screaming at a brick wall.
