3g modem today... but it's not too bad on download speed, it's more the page jumping around like a fucker as it downloads and renders the images.
If you downloaded the images when you found them, and then attached them to posts you'd help on both fronts... I'd get lovely thumbnails, and the dimensions would be known so the page wouldn't jump about as the HTML could declare a place-holder.
