Today i am listening to Richard Herring's As it Occurs to me (last episode in series 2). Just bought tickets to see him do Christ on a Bike in January too.

For Pleasure i've been listening to:

Martin Carthy - Out of the Cut
The Decemberists - 5 Songs
Norman Blake - Live at McCabes
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
and lots of Velvet Underground. Mostly the first album.

For displeasure (the corporate whore sell-out library music job i got recently) i've been listening to the new Kings of Leon record. Bloody hell, what a load of old rubbish. I'm not ashamed to say that I *really *liked their first and second albums. Played them both to death. And I swear it isn't a case of snobbery and dropping them because they subsequently became hugely popular, it really does seem to be the case that there is a correlation between them becoming totally shit and getting hugely popular. *baffled.
