This song has been rattling around in my head since I heard it on John Peel I was 14, finally found it today... Love it, bit gothier than I remember it but a fantastic tune all the same...

And lastly,
'Caught a Long Wind' by Feist - YouTube
Good call all round - haven't read this thread in time, and not intending to trawl through to catch up just yet so you'll all have to put up with potential reposts:
Recently purchased:
Dan Michaelson (and the Coastguards) - Sudden Fiction (big fan of his first two LP's Shakes and Saltwater - he's got a real marmitey voice - he divides opinions but I'm firmly in the Pro camp with his gravelly voice, slow guitars and piano. I think technically he's no longer with 'The Coastguards' for this record as they were made up of session musicians plucked from other modestly successful and wholly talented bands.)

(Actually from the second album, not the latest but I can't find any videos from the most recent.)Edit: Yes I can:
Destroyer - Kaputt (Despite the menacing sounding name, this isn't a Danish thrash metal band, but a wholly listenable sprawling Canadian pop act from Dan Bejar of The New Pornographers fame. Perfect background music for a morning commute. Tynan put me on to them a few months back and I saw the LP by chance in Rough Trade - it's lush sounding stuff)

Fiest - Metals (A rather late follow up to her horrendously successful debut The Reminder (you remember... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMGq_6GouyI
Metals is weak by comparison in terms of replay value in coffee shops and adverts - but it's definitely very lovely) -

It certainly is.
I saw them twice on their tour and they were fantastic as always.
