Amazing that that's still there. Once upon a time that would have been snapped up right away...

My God I love that... I think he should have shown the weld. How do you break a PACE frame? It's essentially a cruiser unless you trust the repair.

Look at it :(

Interesting... http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=50783&sid=7d4c418bebfa56c1fa4dd771fa837230 page 3 onwards. It seems shimming a seatpost did a similar thing with the top tube weld.

How do you break a PACE frame?
I think the question should be 'how do you avoid breaking a PACE frame?'. They were pretty notorious for it.

I just remember ogling PACE frames when I was a lot younger and into MTB, I had no idea they were so easy to knacker! I always thought they were bombproof! Lol.

A lot of RC200's from back then when we all REALLY wanted one cracked over time. Then the 305 and 405 were terrible for cracking and Pace got a bit of a beating over tight warranties. Think a few of the lovely 129ers from 10 years ago cracked as well.

Ooooh that chrome chainstay wrap over. Delicious.
Massive bargain, no?

I think the image of a Yorkshire welder with a pint mug of tea was probably a bit too reassuring in this case. The clue is in how many used ones you actually see for sale - not many!

Agreed. Love the paint too. Bloody enormous though which might well make it niche.

Damn. Must resist.

Really nice Swiss built Mondia with loads of great details: fork crown, campy dropouts, drilled BB shell, original head badge.
